- December 25 - Jesus (died about 33) — traditional date, as assigned by Dionysius Exiguus in his anno Domini era according to most scholars. However, one scholar thinks Dionysius placed the birth of Jesus in year 1.
Deaths
- Herod the Great, according to some interpretations of Josephus. However, Josephus also mentioned an eclipse just before Herod's death, which Kepler dated to 4 BC.
