Um, we have this thing called administrator recall here. It tends to come into play when large, powerful, occasionally awkward admins stomp on Tokyo too often. News reports have had you and another new administrator, User:Doczilla have been "playing doctor" and maybe gotten a little too, um, feisty. That's the account of the most coherent survivor, although, granted, that isn't necessarily saying much. Well, I don't like to review my own block, Cvc42; it's better that a neutral admin does that. Apparently Jacurek missed the instructions in my block message for requesting review. I've written again, trying to be as clear as possible. I hope he manages to add the unblock template, if he feels he has been unfairly blocked, because that's the way to call an uninvolved admin to the page. If he still has trouble, and you're concerned, perhaps you could help him? Salt glaze pottery

Honored Bishzilla. You august presence may be of great assistance. I know it's unusual to "protect" a small page like "Salt glaze pottery" - but a series of IP edits (from one editor or perhaps more), using various IP numbers, has been going on for over a year. The IP's apparently object to a small section of the article - but simply do not communicate. They use "tags" (which always rub me the wrong way) or simply delete the information. I revert and invite he/she/them to the talk page but no dice. I have asked he/she/them to sign in as an editor, but no response. My tone on the matter is increasingly curt -- and my perspective is becoming very inflexable. I have no real objections to changes on the page, but I am adverse to this type of "drive by" editing. Nobody unprotected, old protection merely expired like little users do from atomic breath. (Little monster joke. Chortle.) Article protected for two months on March 17 by LaraLove, therefore expired May 17. May be smart technical way of checking protection date, but dinosaurs do it old-fashioned way, searching History for some "protection" term (Zilla cleverly use "autoconfirmed") and find this (perfunctory drumroll on chest). As Zilla already has admin tools, is not necessary to do this. Click "protect" tab on page and Zilla can see at bottom of page "protection log". Easiest way for admins to do. Non-admins like lowly Bishonen account (Zilla prettier than Bishonen, too!) must click "history", "view logs for this page". Save Ral315 time, and surely save Zilla time too. I stand by my actions in bringing this case, Bish.. As I said to Irpen, this is like chapters of stuff that should be entitled "Stuff that Administrators should not freaking do". All the way through it.

WMC thinks that the block system is a progressive slot machine and runs the block on Giano from 3 to 24 hours to 48 hours in about an hours time. I agree that WMC himself should not be ramping up the blocks (especially considering the last block was incivility aimed at HIM, we're not supposed to block here).

MZMcBride then full protects the talk page, in an attempt to get the two sides to disengage. Again, at this point, no useful discussion was happening (it was Giano insulting various people (whether deserved or not), and WMC continuing to wind Giano up by increasing the time of the block.

At this point, hopefully things get resolved by being taken to AN/ANI, smacking WMC lightly on the wrist and saying "A block is not like an egg timer. You can't add time arbitrarily to it.. and you should've disengaged".

But Geogre came in, and lit the fuse for the explosion. Bish, everyone knows I'm a bit of a stickler for process at times. I'll freely admit that failing. But did anyone think Geogre coming in and unilaterally undoing another administrator's block without the other administrator's ok, or discussion and consensus on a community noticeboard, or even a "Hey, you're wrong, I'm undoing this" note to the other administrator's page is going to SOLVE anything? It is a provocative maneuver, one that Geogre has done in the past. The mop is not supposed to be used as a weapon in a fight, and Geogre was doing just that.

He says he overturned the block and changed the duration, and a few minutes later, Avraham then fixes to the original three hour block (down to 1 hour because of time spent). Maybe Geogre was distracted at the time. But it shouldn't take 5+ minutes to change the duration. Who knows, maybe he was arguing with someone off wiki about something at the time? He hasn't said anything about the situation. I can only go by what I see.

He also undid the page protection of a completely uninvolved administrator. Again, there was nothing to back him up. No ok from MZM. No discussion elsewhere. Not even a note to MZM that he had done so. Again, the mop is not for unilateral actions to protect your friends. He could've brought it up on AN/ANI at this point and covered his butt, but apparently, breaking just about every "Thou Shalt Not" for an administrator doesn't require that kind of comment.

Then of course, WMC Completes the Circle of Pain..er.. life by explicitly wheel-warring the block back in. Of course. Why not. We've done everything else completely by the numbers wrong, why not one more item.

I stand by my conviction that BOTH people's actions in this case are sanctionable because of their gross misjudgements and wheelwarring. One explicitly wheel wars, and the other if not explicitly (depends on your definition), at least sets things up for it with the log in, yell, "block overturned", unprotect, step away, no further response. If I had my way (yeah, I know, thank god I'm not, right? :)) this kind of misjudgement is de-adminnable.

I'm sorry you and Giano (and most probably Geogre) feel that way (Giano's biblical reference was choice, btw) but I'm not selling anyone out, I'm disgusted by both sides administrative actions in this issue.

I hope I've made it utterly clear that I do not support any further action on Giano and support the proposed injunction by Kirill (hey, at least it won't put any new names on Giano's Gmail list for him to argue with) but this adminstrative mess needs at the VERY least a strong trout slapping to both sides and told not to do it again. If all the administrators acted like these two did on this case, it'd be pure mayhem.

That was one of the big points I tried to make with my evidence, so it's a bit depressing that it was invisible. :-( Geogre works very fast—I, notoriously slow, couldn't have edited whatsoever twice in five minutes. As for Geogre "coming in", I don't think he was even aware the affair was on AN/ANI (was it? I can't find it, not in the archives either—it must be, but I don't know where. Not knowing the name of the thread makes it harder to look.). He discussed it solely on Giano's talk, as far as I can see (from his contribs). I don't understand if "maybe he was arguing with someone off wiki" is some kind of insinuation—if so, what does it mean, exactly? That you think he was plotting something (what?) with Giano? With me?

Geogre isn't very often online these days, you know. He got so pissed off about the IRC RFAR at Christmas that he's hanging by a thread on Misplaced Pages. I haven't discussed the unblocking business with him at all, and Giano hasn't—no opportunity. I know Irpen has, but that was later, not something that could have distracted Geogre at the time. You, know, Sir Fozzie... the more I look at this post of yours, the less I like the suspicions and insinuations you're spinning. You're not even within shouting distance of Geogre's attitudes and beliefs and the work he does. And you seem to make a point of assuming the worst and assuming bad faith. In fact, please go away. Hi, since you've been original blocking admin of Jacurek, and it seems you've haven't been involved in any edit conflict with him, and so you are fairly neutral in this case, your opinion here would be very appreciated. My question is - does blocking of a sock and not the puppeteer himself is adecvate enough measure in cases of block evasion like this. It was with some suprise that the speedy happened that I responded to like that - it was not in any way intended to be rude - I have no case as I am not interested in pursuing this any further, and admins are the last thing on my mind for a start - this is simply a afterthought on what I will not try in future - if there was a hint of warning I would not have in the slightest thought to have written anything like that - my apologies unreservedly, I would have thought if you are in speedy land that is polite to what you must get most of the time anyways.

There are indonesian editors with limited english who havent the faintest of what you just did - I didnt re-recreate the article - If you had the time to check - I was just trying to coach an indonesian editor the issues of WP:N and WP:RS and in the middle of that process of doing exactly that with a source that can ascertain an inherent notabilty - that you zap it - I know that a number speedy deletes have occurred recently around the indonesian idol characters - and for very good reason - the average Indonesian editor hasnt the faintest about how to ascertain WP:V or WP:RS from a WP:DUCK if they had it in their hands in front of them.

Excuse my almost complete ignorance of what the Arbcom is, but I thought the elections were every 5 years or on some similar Stalinistic chronology (or the Olympics, World cup &c). The last lot were in Dec 2007, so why are you standing now? And if you are, do you have a manifesto we can read? What is your position on obscure medieval philosophers for example? But when they reject your criticism and call it "priggish", don't get "holier-than-thou". I rarely participate in IRC (I'm only in the channel for a few minutes, maybe once a month or so). As for where disagreement should take place, it can be on an appropriate talkpage, and it should be done in a civil manner.
