"Is That Enough" is a 1977 song recorded by American soul singer Marvin Gaye. Recorded shortly after a day in court with Anna, the usually moody singer pondered around his recording studio before getting his band together to record this song in which Marvin not only attacked Anna for using her monetary gain to force Gaye to pay for attorney fees but also verbally assaulted Anna's brother and Marvin's label boss, Berry Gordy, in which the lyric you know you had a brother who thought he was cool/when really I was a dumb little fool comes from. Using a funkier, blues-based and smooth jazz production, Gaye sung in a comfortable tenor. The last two minutes of the song was given to one of Gaye's saxophonists while Gaye is imagined to have smoked his joint as hinted in the lyric this is a joke/I need a smoke. This track would later on be sampled by Three 6 Mafia on their 2000 single, "Sippin' on Some Syrup".
