The cleanup page is a place where articles with problems (ungrammatical, poorly formatted, confused, etc.) can be listed. Any user can fix or list articles here.
Older cleanup: Category:Cleanup by month. Pages are archived by month, but are still in need of cleanup (or de-listing if they have already been cleaned up).

If you are here because you have found a page that needs attention, you are encouraged to be bold and edit the page yourself to fix the problem. If for some reason you don't have the expertise to fix the problems yourself, for example because you don't know enough about the relevant subject, you can request the attention of other editors as follows:
- Check "Resources for maintenance and collaboration" an inset text box on the right, to make sure there is not a more appropriate page on which to list the article.
- Add the most specific applicable tag to the article or its talk page (note that having a cleanup tag will be distracting for readers, so only add them to articles if there is a good reason). See Cleanup resources. For general problems, use {{cleanup-date|September 2005}}.
- Add your listing under today's date (UTC). Create a new section if yours is the first listing of the day.
- Explain what needs to be done in a brief but specific manner in the article's talk page. (Keep in mind not everyone who sees the cleanup tag on the article will see your central listing.)
- Sign your name, date and time by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ )
- Also remember that you can submit an article in need of cleanup to the Cleanup Taskforce (which is always looking for members).
For more detailed information about this page, see Misplaced Pages:Cleanup process.

- Afrocentrism has too much emphasis on details of Egypt (mummies, sphynx, etc). The egyptian section needs to be broken out into a separate article with maybe two paragraphs left on the Afrocentrism page. --155.91.19.73 02:01, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
- Simple Network Management Protocol needs improvement in the 'Architecture' section. The text lists three main components of the SNMP architecture, but only defines one of them. Maplebed 18:28, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
- Patriarch of All Romania needs quite a bit of work in all areas (writing, layout), but preferably by someone who knows more (or anything...) about the topic or is a more experienced editor than I am. --JoanneB 16:38, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell, "Patriarch of All Romania" is a title, but this article seems to be just about the present incumbent. I suggest renaming this article after the name of the person in question (if anyone can work out what it is). If there is sufficient info then the "Patriarch of all Romania" article could remain to describe the post in general, but this might be unnecessary as there is already an article "Romanian Orthodox Church" where such info could very well go (for example, there is already a list of patriarchs). I would do this but I am so ignorant of the subject it would be better for someone else to do it! - Matt
- Local Government Board needs something more than a redirect to the list of presidents thereof. Jackiespeel 17:13, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
- I don't see why this is a "cleanup" request. It should be a "someone please write an article about this" request if there is such a thing. - Matt
- In case there was another article on the subject and "two minutes left in the library session" (g). Will put it on a more appropriate list. JS
- Women as theological figures. I have set this up to list those women who have been significant in various religions - writers or otherwise. Could do with a better title as well. Jackiespeel 18:20, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
- I question the value of this article as it stands at the moment. - Matt

- Cecilia Gallerani- Very poorly written with little information and POV. 13:27, 27 Semptember 2005 (UTC)
- Billy Zane - article on the American actor, article is full of very short (1 sentence!) disjointed paragraphs and needs chronology. Arnie587 23:21, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
- I cleaned up Billy Zane. I wasn't sure if I should just remove the notice here that it needed cleaning up or not. So, uh, yeah, I think it looks better. I intend on putting up his filmography later tonight. Dismas| 05:36, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
- Burger King - One image covers text, another doesn't display correctly, and there's a lot of repetition and poorly written sections in the article. Imdwalrus 05:05, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
- This article didn't look too bad to me. I have reorganised it a bit, and added some new headings and stuff. The "countries with Burger King restaurants" section seems a little OTT, but I suppose there's nothing wrong with it. Someone who better understands Misplaced Pages's arcane formatting syntax could possibly lay it out it a little better so it doesn't take up such a huge amount of space. - Matt
- Olde_English_800 - This is non NPOV and a bit, okay, quite rough around the edges. --Sirimiri 05:38, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
- Roots_rock - the external links in this article are rediculous. They should be changed to internal wiki links, and any good external links put at the end. May also be good to integrate this article into the series on rock music, it'll get more traffic and improve faster that way. Arturus 17:53, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
- Suprnova.org - hardly NPOV, and basically just a list of E-Mails. There aren't any headings, and it seems this article was pieced together as things happened. --Quintin3265 23:13, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
- The Shattered Chain - The Darkover books seem to be very popular, but this article is only an unintellible blurb from the back of the book. james_anatidae 05:04, 28 September 2005 (UTC)

- Deadlands - An article for the horror/western RPG, the article includes a condensed version of the rulebook, including how to create a character. Really unnecessary, especially compared to other RPG entries in the database. Extreme Unction 15:16, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

- Gilbert and Ellice Islands - Proclamation section should be moved to wikisource, and the history section needs better information. ANR 20:53, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
- W. Averell Harriman - This page is disorganized and poorly formatted. There is a long list of jobs and positions held by Harriman that should be implemented and cleaned up. --Blue387 18:51, 25 September 2005 (UTC)

- Faust, Part 1 - very disorganized, apparently written by a native German speaker. Needs major revisions in order to explain the work with more concision. Carter Somerville 22:34, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- Battle of Yungay - apparently written by a native Spanish speaker...needs to be rewritten to conform to proper English language guidelines and wikified. There may still be some parts that need to be translated, too. Kurt Weber 19:42, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- UMTS - This article is choppy and hard to read and does not seem to reflect the current status of the UMTS systems and phones. I also strongly feel that the focus of should be about UMTS and not about how great other standards are. /probell (Talk) 20:19, 23 September 2005 (UTC)

- List of television movies Short and sour, with lack of informations and general messiness.
- Direct-to-videoPoorly written, lack of info, badly designed and senseless.
- Dionysian Mysteries - Bad formatting, article is poorly written and uninformative. 22 September 2005
- Brian Keenan (musician): Style; wikify; PoV; + cats.Jerzy•t
- Laonic Chalcocondil - I've done a bit, but I don't know enough about the subject of the article to feel comfortable doing any substantial cleanup work--afraid I might change something that shouldn't be.
- Peter Rafelson - I have originally marked the article as a copyright violation, then I received an e-mail from the original article's author stating that he contributed the text himself. It still needs cleanup/wikification. - Mike Rosoft 17:00, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- Universal Studios - This was cleaned up in July, but an unknown user undid much of that version. A portion seems to have been added by the subject's public-relations department. I have now reconstructed the narrative as much as possible. wspencer 22 Sept 05
- The_Gambler_(1974_film) - Article may well be a copyright violation as is a review. Needs to be entirely cleaned-up. I intend to do some when I can find time. MLA 07:17, 23 September 2005 (UTC)

- Bhagavad Gita needs to be restructured and cleaned up from unnecessary religious bias, facts need to be checked, sources need to be included. I'll get around to it eventually, in the meantime, please jump in and chew on it. Raga 19:34, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
- DO THE A-SIDE just needs to have some stuff moved around and wikified. A page move might be nice, too. Kurt Weber 12:37, 21 September 2005 (UTC) +Moved to Do The A-Side.
- TeX Users Group needs some wikification, really. There might already be an article on this; I dunno. Kurt Weber 15:27, 21 September 2005 (UTC) -Check titles of, & lks in, Category:TeX articles, to rule out a dupe.
- Comanche needs to be made readable once it gets past the "Or more info..." statement. 63.241.34.4 21:26, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
- I took a stab at this and got partway through 'food' and couldn't do any more. I might be able to give it a look later, but it's giving me a headache. Hopefully I didn't do more harm than help. BCampbell 15:41, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- I'm doing a little here and there, this is one huge mass of text. I added ToC tags to the sectionlabels, hopefully that will make cleanup a little easier. I also bulleted the references and wikified the links there. Still needs a ton of work, including (IMHO) some reorganization and trimming. I'll keep doing small bits as I can. KillerChihuahua 19:02, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- _ _ The "History/Major Events" alone section is 57 kB, and clearly needs further subdivision. There's nothing wrong with using the multilevel capability of our hdg system: putting
- === Foo ===
- in that section will start one subsection within it. But getting some subsections is just a stopgap. The article needs to eventually become at least 4 sub-32 kB articles (unless, as is possible, massive deletions of 'graphs are appropriate).
- I concur. The section titles were already there, but w/out the ='s. I just added the ='s in order to chunk the article into more manageable segments. I have limited time for editing and tend to do little bits as I find time. Hopefully this will help encourage others to trim and edit also, as the chunks are less intimidating than the whole mess. I see TheMadBaron has already started on "food." As I said earlier, the article IMHO needs massive trimming and a re-org. I just cannot spend the time necessary to do this all at once. It looks like most of the edits so far have been minor trimming, wikifying, grammatical corrections. This one is going to take a lot of work to get to manageable size, and I have no problem with that happening in small doses. KillerChihuahua 12:23, 23 September 2005 (UTC)

- Nancy Astor, Viscountess Astor is in need of some reorganization. Various sections could probably be subcategorized (for example: 'Virginia', 'New York' and 'England' — although I'm not sure what heading they could fall under; also, 'Parliament' and 'The House doesn't miss anybody' should probably go together). jareha 05:36, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
- Frame of reference - very long paragraphs, particularly in the lead.
- British royal genealogy - while this may eventually go up for VfD, I thought it should at least be given a chance. Correct spelling in the title would improve things greatly. -Acjelen 04:54, 21 September 2005 (UTC)

- Pick includes a great explanation/stubbing of the tool. The article is rather unwieldy, though, as a confusing disambiguation is also jumbled in. jareha 03:51, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
- Created Pick (disambiguation), which also needs cleanup. TheMadBaron 10:05, 21 September 2005 (UTC)

- Parc, New York appears to be a computer generated town article. And it completely misses the point. It's not a town named Parc; it's a business development organization named PARC (Plattsburgh Airbase Redevelopment Corporation) that's trying to attract new industries to the site of a closed Air Force base. I don't know enough details to rewrite the article, but somebody should get it back on track. MK2 01:32, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
- Epigenesis (creative intelligences) - questionable tone and perspective; previously written using occasional all-caps.
- Involution (philosophy) - possibly overenthusiastic capitalization.
- Middle-market: Poorly formatted. And talks only of middle-market newspapers - the term could almost certainly be applied to other things as well. -- Smjg 09:28, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
- Landscape: Needs an overhaul for content and expression - introductory sentence is appalling. Also could do with a better disambig for landscape orientation. -dmmaus 04:06, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

- DBSPL: Addresses topic from weirdly narrow point of view; apparently dB SPL is "used primarily by car stereo competitions."
- Russell Crowell: bio of an admirable recently deceased union activist (by an apparent relative, who is apparently a solid WP'ian) needs rescue from impending VfD listing (and style work if successful); see Talk:Russell Crowell.Jerzy•t
- I've expanded the article and made edits based on Jerzy's stylistic comments. Yes, he's my grandfather. However, I think he is also clearly far, far above WP's threshold for notability.--Bcrowell 22:42, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
- I've deleted the cleanup tag. In my opinion, the article was never in need of a cleanup in the first place, but I've tried to make the kinds of style changes requested by Jerzy. Jerzy has also raised questions about notability; if I haven't satisfied him on that point, then he could initiate an afd process.--Bcrowell 20:44, 24 September 2005 (UTC)

- Interior design 1950's — I don't know what to do with this. It's a (signed) POV essay, and could be nominated for AfD as such, but it does contain some useful, NPOV information. It needs to be renamed, of course, since the "1950's" is not Misplaced Pages style (and incorrect). Chick Bowen 15:25, 16 September 2005 (UTC)

- There's no evidence that there is any such movie. Definite candidate for deletion. TheMadBaron 10:58, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

- WindLegends - Page is a mess. I've tried to do a little work on it, but it could probably be looked at by someone with more experience. Not sure if it should be kept, because it seems to be rather obscure, and, looking at the history of the article, created by the author of the books. Deletion? aliceinlampyland 11:00, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

- The processions of richly caparisoned elephants - Not an encyclopedia article, Misplaced Pages is not an image gallery. I am listing it here rather than on VfD to give it a chance - perhaps somebody can make it a real article. (It should also be moved to a more appropriate name, perhaps Elephant procession or Procession of elephants?) - Mike Rosoft 13:15, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

- Simulacrum - Starts with an old defintion, then says there's a new, more popular definition, then talks about a whole bunch of things unrelated to each other only separated by paragraphs (meaning it needs to be divided into subsections and preferably more ordered:). "Aviator" was moved to Aviator (film), although the page is still about pilots and the movie is at The Aviator. Aviator was then created as a disambig. The quick solution is to move the article back to its original title but as it has been edited I can't. I'm inclined anyway to move the page to Pilot (aviation) (the term aviator is a little archaic) and adding it to the disambig page, but that would then require flipping 50 links :-(. Any other suggestions? David Brooks 17:02, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be best for an administrator to restore Aviator, make Aviator (film) redirect to The Aviator, and proceed from there? -Acjelen 00:18, 8 September 2005 (UTC)Well, that's the whole process, so long as it's done in a way that preserves the history of the page. I was just asking for the one step that I can't do myself. If Aviator is deleted, I can use the Move function. I'm voting against Pilot (aviation) now. David Brooks 01:05, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

- Maine Coon - Particularly the behavioral section was mostly just the author describing all the silly things their particular cat did, instead of noting traits of the entire breed. I cleaned it up a bit, but more needs to be done to clean up the article, and more factual notes about behavior could stand to be added. Praetorian42 15:16, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
- List of the largest subnational entities by area - The list is rather long - I think a table or perhaps a section or two is in order.
