It includes both the Wario Land platform games and the WarioWare series, both made by Nintendo.
Wario Land series
Wario
Main article: WarioWario (ワリオ) was designed as an antagonist to Mario, and first appeared in the 1992 handheld video game Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins as the main villain and final boss. Since that time, Wario has developed into the protagonist and antihero of his own video game franchise spanning both handheld and console markets, in addition to his numerous appearances in spin-offs of the Mario series. He is voiced by Charles Martinet, who also voices the Mario, Luigi, and Waluigi characters.
Captain Syrup
Captain Syrup (キャプテン・シロップ, Kyaputen Shiroppu) is the main antagonist of Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 and Wario Land 2. She is the leader of a legion of seafaring thieves known as the Black Sugar Pirates. She is a technological genius and inventor, constantly building mechanized apparati to assist her in attacking whatever target she chooses. The Pirates' base of operations is Kitchen Island, a gigantic coved island in the middle of the ocean, and their main mode of transportation is the S.S. Teacup, a massive pirate ship. In the first Wario Land game, Wario pursues Syrup in order to steal a giant golden statue of Princess Toadstool (now known as "Peach") that Syrup stole from Mario. After Syrup is defeated, she vows revenge on Wario. During the second game, she exacts her revenge by stealing all of Wario's treasure.
In Wario Land: The Shake Dimension for the Nintendo Wii (her first appearance since 1998 and her first home console appearance), she initially appears to inform Wario about the Shake King, as well as the legendary Bottomless Coin Sack he has kept hidden (though Syrup merely wants Wario to do the work of stealing it for her). Syrup also aids Wario by selling him various maps and items. It is the first time she is initially portrayed as an ally in a Wario game.
Wanda
Wanda (ワンダ) is a fairy who appears as the main character in Mario & Wario, where she aids either Mario, Yoshi or Princess Peach in maneuvering their way to Luigi, who can remove whatever object Wario has dropped on their head to blind them; as well as a guiding other characters, Wanda is used to combat Wario and his plane the Bulldog in the game's boss battles. Wanda returns in Wario's Woods, helping Toad in freeing the woods Wario and his minions have conquered.
Rudy the Clown
Rudy the Clown is the main antagonist of Wario Land 3. Rudy lures Wario into the music box world, claiming that he is the god of the world. He convinces Wario to help break the seal that was placed upon him by the other creatures of the world, with the promise of keeping any treasure Wario finds. After the seal is broken, Rudy reveals himself and attacks Wario. Wario defeats him, and the curse on the other inhabitants is broken. Rudy returns in the video game Dr. Mario 64, where he and Mad Scienstein concoct a plan to steal the Megavitamins from Dr. Mario because he has a cold, and wants the power to cure any illness.
WarioWare series
9-Volt and 18-Volt
9-Volt (ナインボルト, Nainboruto) is a young Nintendo fanatic, owning everything ever made by Nintendo. 9-Volt's microgames are all microgame versions of Nintendo video games. He lives at home with his mother, 5-Volt, and his pet Fronk, called 'Shag'. He is voiced by Orlando Bloom.
18-Volt (エイティーンボルト, Eitīnboruto) is 9-Volt's best friend, and a fan of video games. He is large, but despite his size, he goes to Diamond Elementary School, as does 9-Volt. His other defining trait is the boom box he always carries; his loud music gets him into trouble on his first day of school, although he soon finds an admirer in 9-Volt. In WarioWare: Touched!, 18-Volt speaks only the word "Word", but in other games, he speaks normally. He is voiced by Hugh Grant.
Ashley
Ashley (アシュリー, Ashurī) is a witch in training who lives in a mansion in Diamond City with a little demon named Red. She first appeared in Touched!, then returned in Smooth Moves. She is very emotionless and rarely smiles. She is largely uninterested in activities unrelated to improving her witchcraft; such tasks are typically relegated to Red. She is voiced by Drew Barrymore and sung by Britney Spears. It is also the first name of someone from the Pussycat Dolls.
Ashley's Theme can also be heard in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, with the song's vocals provided by Emily McIntosh, Terry Lauber, and James Cowan (wario)|James Cowan but is not a playable character. It can be heard on the WarioWare stage.
Dribble and Spitz
Dribble (ドリブル, Doriburu) and Spitz (スピッツ, Supittsu) are two developers who speak with Bronx accents. They also work as cabbies, and their cab, which was designed by Dr. Crygor, has the ability to go anywhere. Dribble is a large anthropomorphic bulldog with red hair. He is large, burly, and seems gruff, but he is actually quite calm and friendly. Spitz is a yellow anthropomorphic cat. He is always squinting and wears goggles. They are voiced by Chris Rock.
Dr. Crygor
Dr. Crygor (Dr.クライゴア, Dokutā Kuraigoa) is a quirky scientist whose inventions include his cryogenic suit, Mike, the karaoke robot that would "solve all his cleaning needs", and the Kelerometer diet machine. He is a hundred years old, and the grandfather of Penny Crygor. In WarioWare: Touched, he accidentally gets caught in his latest invention and is fused with an apple, resulting in red accents to his costume, as well as a full helmet. These changes remain for part of WarioWare: Smooth Moves. he is voiced by Adam Sandler.
Fronk
Fronk is a strange, blocky, yellow species of creatures. They appear constantly throughout all the WarioWare games, both in microgames and cutscenes. 9-Volt apparently even keeps one of them as a pet, calling it "Shag". In the Japanese version, these creatures were known as Pixies, and the individual character was called Shaggy. In addition to several varieties of yellow Pixies, there are also red and blue varieties; their faces vary individually from each other. They are also apparently very small, as they are usually depicted getting stomped on, crushed, eaten, or kicked. Their sizes range from the size of a human toe to smaller than a penny. Their microgames (which rarely appear but have their own section) in WarioWare: Twisted! are very short, lasting half the time of a normal microgame. They are voiced by Charlie Sheen.
Jimmy T.
Jimmy T. (ジミーT., Jimī Tī) is a man with a large blue afro wig, who is a disco dancing fanatic to the point that sometimes he will do so involuntarily, citing that the rhythm makes him do it. Jimmy is always seen frequenting hot Diamond City night spots, particularly Club Sugar (Club Sato in Japan). Since WarioWare: Twisted, Jimmy has been seen frequenting with members of his family, who apparently love dancing as much as he does. They include his parents, Papa T. and Mama T., and his brother and sister, James T. and Jamie T. He is also protrayed as a kind person and sort of an animal lover in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, where he is seen lending his umbrella to a cat. He is voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr.
Kat and Ana
Kat (カット, Katto) & Ana (アナ) are kindergarten-aged ninja twins. Kat has pink hair with a single ponytail, while Ana has red-orange hair with two ponytails. Ana is timid, while Kat is a bit more bossy and overall the dominant sister, though she cares for Ana deeply. The two live in an old-fashioned Japanese-style house in a forest. The two are descended from the Iga ninja clan, and attend Mystical Ninja Elementary. They have four pets: Don the Sparrow, Shadow the Dog, Shuriken the Falcon, and Nunchuck the Monkey. Jennifer Aniston.
Kat & Ana make a cameo appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as Assist Trophy characters and regular trophies.
Their name is a pun on "katana" (Kat and Ana).
Mike
Mike (マイク, Maiku) is a character who was introduced in WarioWare: Touched! In the game, he hosts a section devoted entirely to blowing into the microphone on Nintendo DS. Mike is a karaoke robot made by Dr. Crygor. Despite being a robot built for karaoke, the slightly mad doctor programs him to be a cleaning robot. Eventually, he overrides his cleaning program with his karaoke program by blowing on a pile of dust. He is voiced by Luke Wilson.
A version of Mike's Song from WarioWare: Touched! can be randomly obtained during brawls in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It plays on the WarioWare stage.
Mona
Mona (モナ) is a high school student with a different part-time job in each game. Mona is quite adventurous and culturally savvy. She thinks Wario is always one degree ahead of cool (revealing she likes him). She always seems to be late to whatever she is going, and often speeds on her scooter to make up for lost time. Her former occupations include working at a gelato shop, pizza delivery, bassist, and cheerleader. Mona's theme song, 'Mona Pizza', can be heard on the WarioWare stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. She is voiced by Miley Cyrus.

It is also said in the Mega Party Game$ booklet that he wears anti-gravity cleats. He is voiced by Brad Pitt.
Penny Crygor
Penny Crygor (ペニー・クライゴア, Penī Kuraigoa) was introduced in WarioWare: Smooth Moves. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Crygor and dreams of becoming a great scientist. She also has a hidden desire to become a singer. She is seen in the game to have a part time job as a cake baker/decorator. Penny sees her grandfather as an excellent scientist, though she also recognizes his eccentric nature. She is voiced by Anne Hathaway..
