Anson D. Shupe (b. 1948) is an American sociologist who studies religious groups and the anti-cult movement. He is a Professor of Sociology at the joint campus of Indiana State University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne, Indiana, teaching courses such as "Deviant Behavior and Social Control" and "Sociology of Religion".
