Barack Obama

You might not know this, but your recent edit to Barack Obama went against both the weight of available sources (which describe Obama as the first black or African American, not the first person of mixed race, to be elected President), and the consensus of editors which was the product of a long discussion. Please in future discuss proposed changes at the Talk page, or consult its Archives and/or FAQ section to see the results of previous discussions. You may also want to review the helpful guidelines at Talk:Barack Obama/Article probation for more information about contributing to that article and its Talk page. Thanks, SHEFFIELDSTEEL 21:03, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Seriously, read the article probation guidelines linked above. Do not edit war at that article or you'll be blocked from editing. Any discussion should take place at Talk:Barack Obama not in edit summaries. Thank you. SHEFFIELDSTEEL 21:14, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Sheff, if you check my second edit, you will see I did not undo your edit re mixed race. Please check your facts and do threaten people falsely. You strongly believe Obama to be black, while my reading of the sources says his mother was white, making him mixed race. We can disagree without being disagreeable. Best wishes --Ret.Prof (talk) 21:36, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
