The party is set to be joined by most, if not all PPP MPs which were not barred from politics and is expected to continue the political direction of TRT and PPP. It will elect its executive on 7 December 2008, one day before a new PM is set to be voted on. Possible candidates for leader of the party are rumored to be: Apiwan Wiriyachai (Vice President of the House of Representatives), health minister Chalermm Yoobamrung and industry minister Mingkwan Saengsuwan.
