FSO Polonez from 2000

The FSO Polonez is a Polish automobile that began production in 1978, and end in 2002, albeit difficulties in the implementation of new technologies. Many of the internal components of the vehicle were borrowed from the Polish Fiat 125, or the 125p. The chassis of Polonez is from Polski Fiat 125p, but the outter shell was new design. Polonezes engine was Polski Fiat 125p's engine with minor modernizations. In 1990's diesel-engine was available, too. Diesel-engine was Citroën's 1.9 litre engine.

The FSO Polonez is a common sight in Poland today, taking many forms, from pickup truck to police car.
