1998 movie from Director Steven Soderbergh. It was his first collaboration with George Clooney, which should spawn several cooperations e.g. with the movies Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelfe, Solaris and within their production company "Section Eight Productions", which also produced Clooney directing debut Confessions of a dangerous mind).

Other cast members are Jennifer Lopez, Ving Rhames, Michael Keaton and Denis Farina aswell as Soderbergh regulars Don Cheadle, Luis Guzman and Katherine Keener. There also is an uncredited Cameo from Samuel L. Jackson to be seen at the very end of the movie.

Based upon a novel by Elmore Leonard, Out of Sight is regarded as Soderbergh's comeback movie after several critically acclaimed but financially rather unsatifying movies. It was nominated for two Academy Awards (adapted screenplay and editing) and a very large number of other prizes.

The story revolves around the love relationship of a serial bankrobber (Clooney) with a state police marshall (Lopez).
