canterbury park, although not the biggest track in sydney is considered to have the best racing surface in sydney playing fairly when it is in the true position gives every horse a chance. canterbury park is located in canterbury, sydney and is part of the stc. its major races included the canterbury guineas and canterbury cup, but were than moved to the snobby ajc people at randwick.it now has the canterbury classic ans occasionally will hold carnival days during the autumn with group one racing such as the ranvet and queen of the turf stakes. there is no doubt that canterbury has the best surface for horse racing in australia
