Plot
J.D. tries to teach Denise to use compassion while dealing with patients, and stops trying to make her better when she orders a test for a patient that J.D. said not to, which reveals that the patient had stomach cancer.
Elliot seeks Turk's advice on reigniting romance for a special night with J.D., and Dr. Kelso recommends Dr. Cox for the job chief of medicine, which he finally accepts after initially refusing because Kelso said that the job was all about paperwork and complaints.
The name of the episode comes from Elliot wearing 'Cookie Pants' to cope with an expanding waistline from eating cookies.
