My Cookie Pants is the 6th episode of the eighth season of the ABC Studios television series Scrubs, and 156th episode overall. It was broadcast on January 27, 2009
Plot
J.D. tries to teach Denise to use compassion while dealing with patients, and stops trying to make her better when she orders a test for a patient that J.D. said not to, which reveals that the patient had stomach cancer.
Elliot seeks Turk's advice on reigniting romance for a special night with J.D., and Dr. Kelso recommends Dr. Cox for the job chief of medicine, which he finally accepts after initially refusing because Kelso said that the job was all about paperwork and complaints.
The name of the episode comes from Elliot wearing 'Cookie Pants' to cope with an expanding waistline from eating cookies.
Trivia
- This episode was originally scheduled for January 20th.
- Carla (Judy Reyes) does not appear in this episode.
- In the beginning of the episode when J.D. steps onto the keyboard pad, he plays the show's theme song "Superman".
- 'Cookie Pants' has been used before - it was the name of the puppet used by hospital pediatrician, Dr. Dave Norris, in season 3 episode 4, "My White Whale".
- Song that plays at the end is Joshua Radin's: "I'd Rather Be With You"
