Premier Rides is an amusement ride manufacturer based in the United States. The company was the first to use Linear Induction Motors (LIMs) on their roller coasters. Jim Seay has been the sole owner and company president since 1996.

History

Premier Rides, Inc. is the industry leader in the design and manufacture of innovative rides and attractions. Premier Rides is also a global supplier of family attractions such as water rides including the industry recognized Water Coaster, traditional roller coasters (steel and wood), observation towers, Ferris wheels such as the Coaster Wheel and custom designed attractions.

Premier Rides develops its attractions with powerful computer aided design (CAD) equipment in association with leading ride safety organizations such as TÜV. Premier’s attractions represent absolutely the most technologically advanced designs incorporating the latest in rider safety elements, low maintenance parts and extensive use of Finite Element Analysis.

Premier Rides has a library of existing rides to choose from, as well as an incredibly talented group of engineers capable of designing an attraction to meet your specific needs. PREMIER RIDES, INC. DESIGN CRITERIA

Premier Rides, Inc. takes the most conservative approach to ride design, fabrication and installation in order to produce an attraction that has safety at the core of every element. Their efforts provide a high level of reliability in order to keep operational and maintenance costs at a minimum. From the initial structural analysis to the field verification testing including accelerometer and strain gauge analysis performed by Premier Rides’ technicians, every element of the ride is analyzed with respect to theoretical and actual performance parameters.

The design work is performed using the most advanced computer aided design techniques available. Finite element analysis is performed using Algor, considered one of the most advanced modeling programs available. In addition to computer modeling, critical component testing is performed using strain gauge testing analysis to verify computer modeling results.

During installation, Premier’s engineering and project management staff will be on-site to provide technical supervision. They have significant experience in performing projects as is evident in their attraction, Speed-The Ride, which was built by Premier Rides on a turnkey basis in Las Vegas, Nevada, one of the most demanding regulatory environments.

Premier’s scope includes complete testing and analysis of the ride prior to turnover to the customer. Upon the rides’ completion and opening to the public, Premier Rides continues its high level of support with its 24 hour a day, 365 days a year commitment.
