SSN College of Engineering

SSN college of engineering is a premier engineering institution located in the suburbs of Chennai, India. Amongst all the universities affiliated to Anna University, SSNCE is rated number 1. With a strong industrial backing it is fast emerging into an institution providing an international educational experience in India.

History

Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering was started under the University of Madras in 1996. This institution was the brainchild of Shiv Nadar chairman of HCL Technologies group of companies. Initially the trust was founded by Mr.Shiv Nadar and Justice Pratap Singh.

Campus Locality

From a humble beginning at a temporary location in Thoraipakkam in the suburbs of Chennai, SSNCE moved to a sprawling 250 Acre campus at Kalavakkam in 1998. The campus in probably the only campus amongst the newer engineering colleges with a green landscape. With 2 fully functional dormitories, the campus is trying to move towards a residential university pattern.
