Réseau de Résistance du Québecois (RRQ) is an organisation working for the independence of Québec

History

Created by young nationalists, the RRQ is militant organization launched by the newspaper Le Québécois.

In January 2008, the Réseau de Résistance du Québecois launched a campaign against Québec City’s 400th anniversary celebrations and accused the organizers of being revisionist and corrupt by Federalists.

In 2009, the RRQ launched a major campaign against the Combat reenactment of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, a important battle of the French and Indian war. The RRQ has played a major role in the cancellation of the reenactment.
