Pallywood is a term ironically used to describe the alleged practice by some Palestinian activists to stage events that press photographers and video teams will distribute as if it were authentic footage. It is also the name of a film produced by Richard Landes discussing this topic. The issue has especially come to light around ongoing inquiries into the authenticity of the death of Muhammad al-Durrah.
