Rabbi Baruch Myers was born in Orange, New Jersey on May 2nd, 1964 and was raised in Maplewood. He married Chana Myers in March 1989 and moved to Slovakia as in 1993. He was inaugurated on June 20, 1993, as Slovakia's Chief rabbi, the Jewish community's first rabbi in 25 years. He currently has a chabad house, jewish kindergarten, cheder in the afternoons, and a summer camp. He lives with his wife and 12 children in Bratislava and runs Chabad of Slovakia there. He organised a Chassidic Songs projec with Slovakian cello player Jozef Lupták.
