- Elysian Space Navy (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
Entirely in-universe trivia and plot summary. Apparently, removing lists of make-believe orders of battle and damage counts as "gutting and destruction" -- if such trivia is so essential, probably the entirety of the article can be excised. "Real world" informaiton is grammatically incoherent speculation and original research. Beyond that, this article merely regurgitates a section of plot across two books; per previous AfDs at Misplaced Pages:Articles_for_deletion/Second_battle_of_Hogwarts and Misplaced Pages:Articles_for_deletion/Battle_of_Hogwarts_(2nd_nomination), and AfD-less consensus for Battle of Yavin IV and Battle of Endor, this content is unnecessary. So, to sum up, this article fails WP:PLOT, WP:IINFO, WP:RS, WP:GNG. --EEMIV (talk) 19:49, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- I have transwikified this article to http://honorverse.wikia.com/Elysian_Space_Navy. I don't think it is core to Honorverse, and thus can be deleted, but I wonder if there is any way we can redirect people searching for "Elysian Space Navy" on Misplaced Pages to http://honorverse.wikia.com/Elysian_Space_Navy ? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 21:35, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure Misplaced Pages doesn't do soft redirects to Wikia pages, but an external link can be included for the texts in which this group appears. --EEMIV (talk) 13:29, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. Fictional orders of battle are excessive and near-abusive. Fiction writing should be from the perspective of our world. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire - past ops) 23:50, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. Majoreditor (talk) 00:32, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Merge to List of organizations in the Honorverse, which is similar to the outcome of the last spacenavy that EEMIV nominated. 70.29.213.241 (talk) 06:03, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete entirely unsourceable via independent reliable sources, this article is an original essay about a fictional navy that is not notable separate from the books in which it is mentioned.Bali ultimate (talk) 13:23, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- either Merge per 70.29... above OR Keep. The ENS is part of a significant event in this universe, not trivia. The content should be preserved on WP, lest the tidying impulse do our Gentle Reader (for whom we are all working, and for whose benefit all those policies exist). This series is significant and notable (multiple best sellers, an active discussion list (on the publisher's site), multiple writers participating in writing in the universe, ...) and so the question is whether this particular article usefully adds to the coverage on behalf of our Gentle Reader. As may be seen from my vote here, I think that it does, though I'm wiling to see it merged into a larger rubric article. Do not blithly delete. ww (talk) 16:59, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Merge As another three articles about space navies in the Honorverse that have been merged. This is no exception. Debresser (talk) 18:08, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. Speaking as a fan of this series, this content is not even remotely relevant. If there's somewhere a stub could be merged to, consider that, but I don't think it's necessary. JulesH (talk) 18:29, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
