Sue Ryder Care is the name of a charity (originally called the Sue Ryder Foundation) which was founded in 1953 by Sue Ryder, with the creation of a nursing home in Suffolk, UK. There are now 17 Care Centres in the UK -- 6 hospices and 11 neurological centres. There is also a growing Homecare service. The charity also provides support to 30 projects in 11 countries in Europe and Malawi. The charity needs to raise £13million (pounds sterling) each year to supplement its statutory income to continue providing care and this is raised from fundraising and through Sue Ryder Care Shops, of which there are around 400 in the UK.

The charity is regestered at 114-118 Southampton Row, London, WC1B 5AA; and is Registered Charity Number 1052076.
