According to Postimees citing Kaitsepolitsei yearbook published in April 2009, Russian special services are trying to influence the 2009 European Parliament Elections in a way that would lead to election of somebody loyal to Kremlin, possibly Aleksei Semjonov or Dmitri Klenski, to the European Parliament. Russia is also trying to achieve assignment of a special status to the Russian language in EU organisations, which normally operate in languages of all member countries, although Russia is not a EU member.
Russian influence operations in Estonia is a part of Russian NKVD-KGB-FSB conspiracy to impede or even stop the integration of European countries like Ukraine and Georgia into European Union and NATO.
People of Ukraine and Georgia were fighting against the Russian domination for several centuries. Peoples of these countries always wanted Western-style freedoms and democracies. Both Ukrainians and Georgians have well-developed European mentality and culture.
There is a considerable Euro-Atlantic pro-Western Western-style democratic effort under way to counteract the attempts of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and his FSB (a new name of the Russian secret police - KGB/NKVD/GULAG) to impose the Russian anti-Western influence on European countries like Estonia, Ukraine and Georgia.
