- Wow! A new member of my fanclub of new articles, which is checking every my step. But there is already a robot User:AlexNewArtBot/GastropodsSearchResult summarizing my work. LOL. --Snek01 (talk) 22:21, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Holy shit batman! lol. "If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced" (A quote from Mulder from the X-Files) I think random search for the recent changes is just as interesting as your random discovery of that robot login prety much all your interests... humm... well, I'll be going back now to fealing "like a fish out of water" (Barstool Prophet's Song @ 0:29 seconds) and figuring out if "the government is putting poison in my coffee" (Barstool Prophet's Song @ 0:45 seconds). WP:V
If the problem is that seemingly reliable sources turn out to be unreliable, that might be something to discuss on the talk page. It didn't seem appropriate to me, however, to note it in the context of obviously questionable sources: the NY Times's repetition of false information presents a different dilemma from something in Flat Earth News Quarterly. I would try establishing consensus for your edit at Misplaced Pages Talk:Verifiability, first — they might be able to point to toward an appropriate forum for your concern. Scout/Wasp
Hi CyclePat;
Per your enquiry on the WP:Aviation talk page, I've fixed the link from your "work in progress" page to correctly point to the two different (but related) helicopters in question; I've also marked the original Scout/Wasp page for proposed deletion because it won't be a useful redirect to keep around. I hope this is OK!
FWIW, Misplaced Pages now has articles on about 5,000 distinct types of aircraft; pretty much the only things still missing are the truly obscure. It's a safe bet that any machine covered on a series of ID cards will already have an article. If you can't find it, just drop us a note. Cheers --Rlandmann (talk) 12:05, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Card Project
Hi CyclePat, a couple of concerns have been raised about the way this project is being handled, and it's being discussed in the section you started here:
- Indeed, Please accept this appology : I'm sorry for calling one of our fellow editors a vandal within the edit summary. I trust you understand my reference methodology, (transclusion from user page) which can be found to be used for other articles and references (not related to the US Aircraft ID Cards) listed on my user page here. Now we just need to see if this violates any policies... to which I will addimentally defend (even despite the current userpage policy) does not. Anyways, here a few suggestion which have poped up... actually... I'm going to bring this part of the discussion to Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Aircraft#A little help here!. But in short, you're pretty much right on the ball in regards to your understanding of my ambitions for this project. It's funny though, I never though of this as a project but simply as the process to properly reference material. ;) Perhaps a project may be warranted. --CyclePat (talk) 17:57, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Please copy cards template discussion to your Recognition cards template talk page or somewhere else in the next week or two. I'll archive old talk about 1 month old. So that won't be where it linked to in the future. -Fnlayson (talk) 20:40, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
- Since you had not done anything, I moved it to the template talk page.. -Fnlayson (talk) 20:35, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Your editing
I ecourage you to review Misplaced Pages:Disruptive_editing. Guyonthesubway (talk) 17:23, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed a good read. I also encourage you to review Misplaced Pages:Disruptive_editing#Distinguished_from_productive_editing. --CyclePat (talk) 17:50, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- Finally you see the light. :-) "Articles that compare views need not give minority views as much or as detailed a description as more popular views, and may not include tiny-minority views at all. - A difficult thing to balance with the previous discussion regarding Misplaced Pages "words not to use". And all the more difficult if I keep getting accused or labeled as disruptive (asked and or intimidated to leave or essentially being blocked). At the time I was looking at the section that states "In order to protect against frivolous accusations and other potential exploitation, no editor shall be eligible for a disruptive editor block until after a consensus of neutral parties has agreed that an editor has behaved in a disruptive manner. This consensus can be achieved through requests for comment, third opinion, wikiquette alert, or similar means." No matter the case, now I'm questionning the minority view points... comparing with majority... I might need to spell this out just for my own benefit here. majority: Meyer's device violates laws. minority: Meyer's device works. So what is the link of POV with Misplaced Pages What not to say? I do look forward to working together. --CyclePat (talk) 18:14, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Season greetings!
Just in case I didn't leave a post on your talk page... You know if you've made me learn a few good things over the year. So, thank you for your patience, honesty and mentorship. All the best wishes during this holiday season. Merry Christmas and God bless. --CyclePat (talk) 01:40, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Off for a little vacation.
CyclePat is taking a short wikibreak and will be back on Misplaced Pages soon. |
Yeah! I'm off for a little vacation!! Cheers! Hopefully it will be bright sunny and warm while I'm there. No... I doubt it's really a vacation. Actually, what I've decided to do is use one of my legitimate sockpuppet accounts to diversify my porfolio of Misplaced Pages editing... ie.: edit other articles for a day or two.
- Argh! Well the intention is there... I can't keep my fingers off from typing and wanting to come back. Okay! Break time. Cheers. --CyclePat (talk) 05:49, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
The Term water fuel cell
Check Achieve 3>RM Unreferenced claims>The Term water fuel cell of Stanley Meyer's water fuel cell if you want page numbers. This was already discussed and you were at the center of the discussion. The page numbers were added and have since been removed. They were never necessary in the first place. Have you forgotten this discussion or is this a disruptive tactic used on a subject you have a serious POV issue with?--OMCV (talk) 06:10, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- How rude of you! :) --CyclePat (talk) 03:50, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- I don't mean to be rude. I meant to be direct. Disruptive editing is a serious issue. An editor Pcarbonn was banned from the cold fusion page for a year due to disruptive behavior, pushing POV, and other problem behaviors. I'll try to make my warning more friendly in the future.--OMCV (talk) 04:02, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (File:CyclePat & Marc Godbout September 2008 Election.JPG)
You've uploaded File:CyclePat & Marc Godbout September 2008 Election.JPG, and indicated that it's used under Misplaced Pages's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. Misplaced Pages policy requires that non-free images be either used or deleted, so if this image isn't used in an article in the next week, it will be deleted.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. 19:58, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

electric bicycles
Hello, I'm new to wiki editing and have been trying to clean-up the electric bicycle laws. This is going to take me awhile. I would like input as to changes I make or to hear any proposals I might try and intigrate. In an effort to get said opinions I'm asking you and two other people who have worked on the article before a few questions.
Also, I was looking at mopeds, motorized bicycles, and Electric motorcycles and scooters. I think these should be more neatly split into two articles, where the 3-classes of electric Motor-driven cycles (motorcycles, E-bikes, and pedalecs) and scooters are in 1 article and combustion mopeds and motorized cycles are in another. I am not sure how to go about doing/proposing this however.
Thanks again, I'm still figuring out social practices of wiki editing and appreciate any help I can get. Executorvs (talk) 18:59, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- I gutted the united states federal section. also I'm trying to gain understanding of the governmental structure of Canada and the EU. any tips as to where to get started? Executorvs (talk) 01:58, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Telecommunication
Hi CyclePat,
Please consider putting the Canadian sovereignty stuff in Telecommunications in Canada.

Pharyngitis
This statement says nothing about pharygitis therefore removed it. Electromagnetic field therapy shows some signs of being helpful for stimulation of the immune system for clinical conditions such as the Epstein-Barr viral infection.
Doesn't need a page number as it is a short article. It is a review of the evidence that says all CAMS are not supported by evividence. Therefore reverted to previous. "Uptodate, an online peer reviewed information resource, indicates they are however poorly supported by evidence and recommends that they not be used to treat pharyngitis."
--Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:03, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
So does "stimulation of the immune system" mean make the pharyngitis worse or better? Most of the symptoms of phargitis are caused by the immune reaction therefore if you stimulant the immune system you make it worse. That is why pharyngitis is sometimes treated with steroid to decrease the immune system. Did not add the bit about gargling of salt water. Uptodate recommends no alternative medicine ( which include heabs and all the other subgroups ) therefore not vague at all. --Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:56, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- Will need a better ref from a peer reviewed source that actively says it is effective for pharyngitis before adding magnets.--Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:12, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- Note to self: Dougal, Gordon Rex Paterson (Hartlepool General Hospital Holdforth Road, Hartlepool, TS24 9AH, GB) 2004 ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION THERAPY Virulite Limited (P.O. - Mayo clinic saying that these are treatments that are used but not effective is not really controversial. If it was we would need a better source. Once again I did not add the stuff by the Mayo Clinic. The EMF is very controversial seeing that we have high quality references ie Uptodate saying that there is not evidence for CAMs / EMF. Therefore before anything on CAMs / EMFs would be added to this page we would need a very good source. --Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:29, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Here is a page on CAMs for the common cold which is basically the same as viral pharygitis. Alternative treatments used for the common cold--Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:37, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
IP ?
Is 99.240.147.206 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) you ? Abecedare (talk) 02:40, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- Indeed! PEBKAC. Came back and made the change. --CyclePat (talk) 03:11, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- Using an IP inadvertently is not bad in itself. But you should not have used it and your account to edit-war on Stanley Meyer's water fuel cell. Remember WP:BRD, especially since you have a several year long history of making edits that are subsequently rejected by consensus on the article. Please take care in the future. Cheers. Abecedare (talk) 03:23, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Electromagnet therapy
Please propose your changes on the talk, to save you being reverted. For example, one of your recent changes suggest the microwave based therapies are the only electromagnetic therapies, and this is clearly false. Propose what you want to add on the talk page please. Verbal chat 18:19, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- There is no need to propose any changes to removed unreferenced material per WP:V. So, in all politeness, please find a proper reference for the material and maybe we can talk. --CyclePat (talk) 18:23, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- Stop being a WP:DICK and disrupting wikipedia to make a WP:POINT. Engage on the talk page, with arguments etc. And please drop the analogies (a la Bob Dylan), they are patronising and obtuse. Verbal chat 18:27, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- This conversation is not leading to anything when you begin to insult people. In mean time, I will continue to edit Misplaced Pages per the generally agreed upon concensus, by most editors; which is, quite well explained within our policies such as, WP:PROVEIT. ie.: The material we add to this article must be proven. --CyclePat (talk) 18:33, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- p.s.: In fact, I believe I have taken reasonable efforts to find sources that supports the material, "regarding magnet therapy"... and I have cited them. However you have removed this information. Therefore, there is no reliable source to which we agree. Therefore there is no reliable source.... therefore... the information should and is removed. It is up to you to find a source now if you want to keep it. --CyclePat (talk) 18:39, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- Consensus is determined by talk page discussion, so please make use of the talk page. To do it before you make your edits, and to await a response, is polite. However, I really have trouble following your reasoning. What RS has/have been removed? Please don't say teh patents or the letters again. Verbal chat 18:44, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Electromagnetic therapy. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Verbal chat 20:21, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
