Taimak (born Taimak Guarriello on June 27, 1964) is an American martial artist, model and actor, best known for having starred in the film The Last Dragon.

Early life

Born to an Italian father and African American mother, Taimak has studied Chinese goju, goju-ryu, taekwondo and jujutsu.

Career

Cast in The Last Dragon, Taimak had no prior acting training or experience, and it shows in the film. He later appeared as the lead male in Janet Jackson's "Let's Wait Awhile" music video, Debbie Allen's "Special Look" video and on the TV show A Different World.

Taimak used to co-own a gym that went out of business after three years, on the east side of Manhattan in New York city called "Fitness Concepts". He has since parted ways with the partner. Taimak's ego eventually led to the demise of the gym.

If you visit Taimak's website you will see that he has been extremely busy promoting himself as a megastar who had the audacity to turn down TYLER PERRY. Jet magazine did a "Where are they now" feature on him, not a full scale interview as he has been touting. He was quoted as saying "Hollywood does not know what to do with me". It's been 23 years since The Last Dragon, and Hollywood still has no clue what to do with this well accomplished, hitmaking, potential earner actor & that's after 23 years. His other treasured works cannot be found anywhere. He is dating a lady he met on Myspace who is also half Italian and models lingerie. The company she models for is said to be a knockoff of the Pussycat Dolls.

Taimak claims he has no interest in "The Last Dragon remake. However, he plastered pictures of himself during that era all over his myspace and website. I guess to remind Hollywood that he was in that film.

Personal quotes:

Jet 2008- Hollywood has no idea what to do with me.

Online interview- I have a new movie coming out. Note the interview took place in 1995.

Myspace page- I'm half Italian also and you're darker than me. Note the lady was half white half Italian. He is half black half Italian.

Website- Any of those crazy Transformations.
