Pattani
Thanks for drawing that to my attention. I agree the two articles should be merged. My inclination would be to use some of the material at Pattani separatism for my article, South Thailand insurgency, but this might seem rather arrogant given that a number of people have been working on the former article for some time. Which do you think should be absorbed by which? Adam 10:37, 1 August 2005 (UTC)
Sultanate of Malacca
I feel the Philippines was invloved with the Sultanate of Malacca before the coming of the Spaniards, but there is very little records to prove this. That is why I place the category there.--Jondel 08:43, 9 August 2005 (UTC)

Blocked
Hello - what happened was I blocked User:Stupidfuck, but Wikimedia has a feature whereby any IP address a blocked username tries to use is itself temporarily blocked. Anyway, that IP address should hopefully be usable again now. Evercat 20:24, 17 August 2005 (UTC)

kafirophopes
well -- I agree it's a borderline case, and I would have voted 'redirect' in the vfd. I doubt that Misplaced Pages's reputation will be damaged by reporting unnotable terms (we have, after all, the Misplaced Pages:Pokémon Adoption Center :) dab (ᛏ) 09:10, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
- Hey, Pokemon is King! How dare you say..., er nevermind. =p __earth 13:42, August 25, 2005 (UTC)
I presume that your concerns that we discussed relate to User:Colin chee and User:Alibadawi, and their possible relationship with User:garywbush. I think that I agree with you, paticularly with Colin Chee, who has been discredited on other webpages. I suggest that if they continue to act in this manner, I think the following cause of action should be taken:
- A question on relevant user talk pages or the kafir talk page about sockpuppetry. If this does not produce any results then:
- A request for mediation or arbitration and a 'suspected sockpuppet' tag on relevant pages
I will keep watching as well, but hopefully they will stop editing the page now that it has been reverted once more to exclude kafirophobia Robdurbar 16:06, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- This is libel to accuse me of being related to Colin Chee but it is natural Earth will resort to such libel as he is a Muslim. I urge you to cease and desist as I can take appropriate action (for instance reporting to Misplaced Pages) as slander is against Misplaced Pages policy. Also, I have never engaged in socketpuppetry and I suspect Earth hacked my account. I have since changed my password. To Earth, please go directly to my Talk page as I do not frequent this page. Garywbush 23:21, 11 September 2005 (UTC)
- Whether you keep watching or not is immaterial. If you are a Muslim, which I suspect you of being, then you are trying to prevent this term to enter the encyclopedia as it is offensive to you and your co-religionists. This is unfair as Misplaced Pages should be neutral and Islamophobia is allowed in, so I take note that perhaps you want Misplaced Pages only to show Islamic POV and not non-Islam POV. Earth even supports the Islamist terrorists in Southern Thailand and so he is not a person credible to discuss Kafirphobia. After all, Misplaced Pages is not a democracy so Earth can be thrown out. Garywbush 23:21, 11 September 2005 (UTC)
- Who says I'm supporting the terrorist? I'm only concerned with human rights. I don't support any religious fanatic, Islamist or your beliefs. __earth 04:58, September 12, 2005 (UTC)
- Yes you are supporting terrorists. Go and read my talk page. Have fun. Garywbush 01:52, 15 September 2005 (UTC)

- This is irrelevent to your case. Even if I were Satan himself, you still hasn't provide proof that you're not a sockpuppet. __earth 04:31, 15 September 2005 (UTC)

Your bot Pearle
Hey, your bot recategorizes a couple of things from environment to environmentalism. Personally, I think it's wrong. For instance, the 2005 Malaysian haze is more about the environment instead of a political belief. __earth 04:23, September 5, 2005 (UTC)
- Indeed. The entirety of Category:Environment was approved for merger with the latter by WP:CFD, and Pearle was blindly implementing that decision. I have left a note at Misplaced Pages:Categories_for_deletion#To_be_emptied_or_moved explaining the situation and linking to background information. The participants of that page will need to figure out what to do now; I'm sure your input on that would be helpful. Thanks, Beland 04:33, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

Rosicrucian article
Dear user Earth, as I have seen a edition of yours at the article Rosicrucian, I come to request your support to this article that I have just purposed for nomination at Misplaced Pages:Featured_article_candidates#Rosicrucian. May you may give a look into it? And, if you consider it acceptable, then may you support it? Thank you! :) --GalaazV 02:49, 9 September 2005 (UTC)

You might be interested in this...
Hey, I don't intend to spam your talk page or anything, but since you seem to frequently edit articles related to Malaysian politics, you might be interested in a forum I founded. In any case, I'm currently canvassing experiences of the Malaysian school system, so I thought (seeing as you are an intellectual and everything, to be editing Misplaced Pages), would you mind contributing? It'd really help, as I'm in the process of polishing a completed draft of a book I'd like to publish about Malaysian schools. Thanks, and have a nice day. :) Johnleemk | Talk 14:48, 11 September 2005 (UTC)

University of Michigan - improvement drive
As a fellow Michigan alum, I was wondering if you would be interested in helping out with this article? I have recently placed it on peer review and so far it seems that I am the only one working on the article. Thanks. Pentawing 20:14, 17 September 2005 (UTC)
- Definately! Does that include vandalizing OSU's page? __earth 02:01, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
- Vandalizing the OSU article? Not if we want to have a Buckeye get at us! Anyways, what I am trying to do is get the UM article featured and someday make it to the front page, as a means of annoying those people from OSU and MSU :-). You can look at the article's talk page to see what is needed. Pentawing 21:10, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
- There are some sections I believe need to be expanded, such as academics and student life. If you have any ideas, please tell me. Pentawing 22:41, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
- There are two sections that I am concerned about: academics (the statistics need to be cited, more information on faculty need to be added) and student life (notably organizations, since what I noted is quite sparse. There must be other groups worth mentioning). Also, I need someone else to look over the wording of the article (one user complained about it on peer review). Other than that, I don't see anything else that could be improved upon. Pentawing 05:58, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
- I am in the middle of confirming claims that UM is one of the best universities. Can you help out? What I need are citations that back up such claims. Also, SimonP noted that the tone of the article is a bit too positive. Can you think of some negatives, other than the high cost of tuition? Thanks. Pentawing 03:49, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks. I already used the first source. As for the second source, is "Michigan University" the same as UM? The naming scheme doesn't make sense since they used "University of (state)" as well. As for UM being too left-wing, where do you believe this can be placed? Thanks. Pentawing 04:27, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the information. I only had access to the PDF file (not the main listing, which requires me to log in). If you wish to add information, go ahead but be sure that whatever you add is verifiable. As you probably known, there is no university article that is FA, so we are going into unexplored territory here. Pentawing 04:54, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

- I did some more editing of the article (including the addition of negatives whenever possible). Could you look at the article and comment on it? I think it is close to FA, but I am waiting on another reviewer to respond. Thanks. Pentawing 23:50, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- By the way, your image of the Big House is tagged as being copyrighted. I am wary of including such an image (I am looking for images with GFDL-compatible licenses). If you have taken the image, why is it marked as copyrighted? Pentawing 23:53, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Okay, the image seems to be alright so I included it in the article. Pentawing 06:52, 8 October 2005 (UTC)

- I think the article is close to FA. However, can you please look at it and see if there is anything more that is needed? Thanks. Pentawing 21:44, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
- I was wondering if you can get a chance to look over the article and comment on it further? Thanks. Pentawing 20:52, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
- Well, the article is now on the FAC board. Few if no comments so far. Do you mind looking over it and leaving a comment? Thanks. Pentawing 00:10, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- Raul654 is on schedule in updating the FA listings (which can be seen by looking at the FA listings editing history), and I'm happy to say that the University of Michigan article is now featured (the first featured university article)! Pentawing 07:57, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
- Darn! The team lost. Oh well, it's either the Outback Bowl or Alamo Bowl. Hope for more next year..... Pentawing 21:47, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
Fischer Black
Thank you for your interest in my user page. The Fischer Black and CAPM material there, though, is I think too essayistic to be merged into the respective articles on those subjects. I have made contributions to each of those articles. --Christofurio 17:52, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
Reply to question concerning Great Blue Heron
Yes, I am still in Ann Arbor. And no, I don't normally pass by the pond by the SoM. The times that I do pass by the pond I only see Canadian Geese and Mallard ducks. I have seen a falcon around Palmer Fields though (and once while it was flying off with a squirrel). Why did you ask about the heron? Pentawing 06:47, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

Help A Fellow Malaysian Editor!
I saw that you and Johnleemk did alot of work on Malaysia together, so I just wanted to let you know that he's running for bureaucratship in case you didn't know. Great contributors like him can use a pat on the back, and we could definately use more bureaucrats in any case.
Also, I saw that you were interested in politics, and I was wondering if you could share your views with me on my user subproject regaring the political views of Wikipedians. karmafist 06:36, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks! Please let me know if I can help you with anything. karmafist 08:09, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
