Radio City is one of the most influential albums in the history of power pop music. Released by Big Star in 1974 (see 1974 in music), Radio City 's hard rock and early punk influences did not lead to chart success. In spite of this, a small and devoted cult audience formed, attracted by the band's emotive music and hook-laden choruses.
