Annemarie Eilfeld (born May 2, 1990 in Wittenberg, Saxony-Anhalt) is a German singer and songwriter, best known for being a former contestant of Deutschland sucht den Superstar which is the German version of the Idols franchise.

Biography

Annemarie Eilfeld was born to a music teacher and an estate agent in Wittenberg, Germany. Her family then moved to Dessau-Roßlau. At the age of seven, she began her education in music and dance. In the following years, she took part in various local song contests. In 2004, she participated in Germany’s casting show Star Search 2 and qualified for the finals. This was closely followed by her debut single “C the light” (Edel Music) under the pseudonym “Anne Marie”.

Between 2005 and 2008, she occasionally performed on stage with different local bands and also served as an opening act for Christina Stürmer and the Bloodhound Gang, respectively.

In 2009's casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar, broadcast on RTL, she made it to the top three. In contradiction to the broad negative criticism by the jury German tabloid Bild-Zeitung supported Eilfeld who was pushed by Tom Sänger of RTL into the role of a "super-bitch" throughout the show. Due to contractual agreements, Eilfeld has to take a three-month downtime regarding publishing new music like all former "DSDS" contestants.

Starting from June, 2009 Annemarie acts in a guest appearance in Germany’s popular soap opera “Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten”. Apart from that she is giving various concerts throughout Germany with her band LaMie, which she founded in 2008.
