The Act provides federal labor-related standards with respect to the transportation and housing of agricultural workers, sets specific requirements concerning payment of wages and conditions of employment, and deals with the relationship between agricultural workers, their employers and farm labor contractors. The Act requires certification of farm labor contractors through the United States Department of Labor. (29 U.S.C. 1801 et seq.).
