Template:Infobox television personality Jacqueline "Jackie" Johnson (born January 23, 1978) is a weather forecaster and television personality for the primetime KCAL-TV news and the late afternoon KCBS-TV news in Los Angeles, California.

Early life

Johnson was born in Plymouth, Michigan. She initially attended the University of South Alabama, concentrating on meteorology. Johnson eventually graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Career

Johnson's television news work began in Tallahassee, Florida at station WCTV in 2000 where she worked as a reporter and weekend weather anchor. In September, 2001, she moved to WSVN in Miami, continuing on as a weathercaster and reporter for three years. In Miami, Johnson became something of a minor celebrity.

Finally, in 2004 she moved to California where, in October, Johnson joined KCBS and its sister station, KCAL, as a weeknight weather forecaster. She is also involved in special projects for both stations.

In December, 2009, she filled in for Dave Price on CBS's the Early Show.

Personal life

Much has been made of Johnson's personal attractiveness and style. In 2003, she was deemed "hottest meteorologist" in an online poll conducted by Playboy Magazine. As winner, she was offered a nude celebrity pictorial in Playboy Magazine, an offer which she declined.

Los Angeles musician Linus of Hollywood wrote a song about her in 2006 entitled "Jackie Johnson." The song appears on the album Reheat And Serve and as a bonus track on the Japanese version of his Triangle album.
