Selman Stermasi was former player, coach and president of KF_Tirana in the '30s and '40s. Selman Stermasi returned to his homeland Albania in the 30s after finishing studies in Roma for Physical Culture. He contributed as a player and then as a coach and even president of the club in those years to 8 national titles (even though two of them (the "war championships are not recognized today). KF_Tirana of that time will be remembered for his memory as well as the memory of other exceptional footballers such as: A.Karapici, Sh. Ndroqi, I. Dashi, Xh.Kashari, S. Lleshi, H. Begeja, H. Korça, M. Petrela, A. Hobdari, R. Gurashi, I. Gjinali, F. Janku, Riza Lushta, Naim Krieziu, etc.

Selman Stermasi was distinguished of great organizational abilities. He was initiator and organizer of the first football market of SK Tirana: Naim Kryeziu, Riza Lushta, and Sllave Llambi signed regular contracts with known Italian clubs, respectively AS Roma, Juventus FC and Bologna FC. All three of them were formed as professional footballers under the guidance of Selman Stermasi. Although after 1944, his capability and activity were disclaimed from dictatorial regime, Selman Stermasi has been and continues to be one of the most knownn personalities not only in KF Tirana, but also in Albanian Football among years.

At last the name of this foremost personality of Albanian football has taken deserved place. The second stadium of Tirana was named Selman Stermasi Stadium during the '90s.
