Misplaced Pages

User Cubert is unfortunately taking a sabbatical from Misplaced Pages for an indeterminate length of time. This is primarily due to the constant cyber-stalking and Wikihounding I have been experiencing from a hate-group of editors who collectively edit under the name User:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz, who are actually a sock-puppet of a previous perma-banned user.

It has become impossible to deal with Hullaballoo's vandalism of articles related to Hollywood celebrities, particularly gay or gay-friendly ones. In the brief amount of time I have spent on Wiki, I have personally witnessed Hullaballoo violate the following guidelines:

Unfortunately, even the admins do not have sufficient time to keep up with this group of users, and, due to HW's continual Wikilawyering, in my experience most of the admins will simply decline to get involved and try to pass off responsibility to handle HW to somebody else (who will in turn decline to get involved, etc.). HW's constant presense on Misplaced Pages, and their ability to engage in reversions and edit-warring at the super-human rate of multiple complex edits per minute to various different articles (because it is actually many users signed on at once), makes it too difficult to keep up.

In the future, if HW disappears, I may try my hand at Misplaced Pages again. Until then, good luck to the rest of you! You are braver than I.
