Welcome

Hi Getcrunk, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thanks for your contributions to the coolest online encyclopedia I know of =). I sure hope you stick around; we're always in need of more people to create new articles and improve the ones we already have. You'll probably find it easiest to start with a tutorial of how the wikipedia works, and you can test stuff for yourself in the sandbox. When you're contributing, you'll probably find the manual of style to be helpful, and you'll also want to remember a couple important guidelines. First, write from a neutral point of view, second, be bold in editing pages, and third, use wikiquette. Those are probably the most important ones, and you can take a look at some others at the policies and guidelines page. You might also be interested in how to write a great article and possibly adding some images to your articles.

Be sure to get involved in the community – you can contact me at my talk page if you have any questions, and you can check out the village pump, where lots of wikipedians hang out and discuss things. If you're looking for something to do, check out the community portal. And whenever you ask a question or post something on a talk page, be sure to sign your name by typing ~~~~.

Again, welcome! It's great to have you. Happy editing! --Spangineer (háblame) 17:22, August 11, 2005 (UTC)

CFUG

There's absolutely no reason that couldn't go in the main article under "History". A redirect is appropriate. — ceejayoz 02:06, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

Redirect it to that, then. The content will still be available in history for the merge. — ceejayoz 02:08, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

Category:First Nations leaders

Regarding your recent edit summary: rv to last version by ebola rulez because the category is named "native american leaders" and is full of native american leaders, that was the whole point -- a member of a Canadian First Nation isn't a Native American. It's very kind that you took it upon yourself to create a more appropriate category, but your comment makes it sound like I was somehow obligated to do it myself. The removal was appropriate, the new category is appropriate, but reverting it back into a category it didn't belong in on the grounds that I shouldn't have removed it from a category it didn't belong in...that part's a bit odd. Stand Up For Love

Nasty Girl wasnt released in the USA, so it couldnt have charted. With Me was released before the 1998 rule change, and it wasnt a commercial single, so it wasnt allowed to chart (but its not like it had to chance to chart, but failed.) 8 Days of Christmas actually might have had the chance to, but it was only a Xmas song, and had like only a few weeks of airplay. I suppose that had the chance. So should we change it to Stand Up For Love being their second song not to chart? OmegaWikipedia 19:02, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the warm welcome. My | was sticking and not typing as all those attempted templates were actually supposed to be noms for speedy deletion; I noticed the error right after I made it and the problem has been remedied.Das Nerd 22:35, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

CZJ American?

Hi there. I noticed that there has been a bit of to-and-fro'ing on the categorisation of Catherine Zeta Jones as Category:Welsh-Americans. I am not bothered enough to alter it, but are you sure that Welsh-American is appropriate? She's Welsh, certainly. As for the American: she lives in America, but has she applied for or taken US citizenship? Or can just living there be enough? There isn't anything particularly listed on the category page to give a clue, hence I ask :) --Telsa 21:59, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

Oh, interesting. Thanks. I still don't understand the criteria for that category: some of the other members of it are very odd. But that's another story and unrelated. Thanks again. --Telsa 08:30, 21 November 2005 (UTC)

Bullshit

Hi, I like your language templates a lot, and I added my bullshit level on my User page here in the English Misplaced Pages.

But I'd like to add it at least to my User page in commons, too. Any idea how to do it?

Best, --wpopp 12:09, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

Hi again, and thanks. Of course I don't mind at all, saved me a lot of work. And thanks for the explanation, too. I'm convinced that Bullshit is a language spoken by people who don't even realize their hidden qualities. Best wishes, --wpopp 21:59, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

User categorisation

You were listed on the Misplaced Pages:Wikipedians in high school page. As part of the Misplaced Pages:User categorisation project, these lists are being replaced with user categories. If you would like to add yourself to the category that is replacing the page, please visit Category:Wikipedians in high school for instructions. --Cooksey 19:10, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Pro-life celebrities category up for deletion

Hi, I see that you are listed as a Roman Catholic Wikipedian, well the Pro-life celebrities category is up for deletion. Category:Pro-life celebrities I think this is an interesting and worth while category. Afterall not all celebrities are pro-abortion. Dwain 02:42, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
