Bruce Fuhrer is an Australian mycologist. He was awarded the Australian Natural History Medallion in 1989. He has written many books on Australian fungi, including a Comprehensive Field Guide to Australian Fungi. He worked for 25 years in the school of Biology at Monash University. Species authored include Rozites (now Cortinarius) armeniacovelatus
