My pleasure, I just wanted to ask whether you are interested in Committee for Settling of Place Names, but you already found it. I think the Yoshioka article is quiet interesting. Best regards HerkusMonte (talk) 09:18, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Expulsions:
The German wikipedia has this to say about the latest source you added: Zehn Jahre nach seinem Tode wurde Conze – zusammen mit seinem Kollegen und Weggefährten Theodor Schieder, sowie mit Albert Brackmann, Otto Brunner, Hermann Aubin u. a. Please revert your edit. thank you. Exp of Germans
The US activities regarding German-Americans and Latin American-Germans is a small but rather neglected bit of history, I will try to add more about it to Misplaced Pages some day. Thank you for your principled work on the article about the Post-War Expulsions. It does the world no good to try to hide from history. Non-Dairy Creamer (talk) 22:13, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Waldemar, Margrave of Brandenburg
A tag has been placed on Waldemar, Margrave of Brandenburg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. R'n'B (call me Russ) 21:49, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

2009 Lößnitzgrundbahn head-on collision
What is meant by "conductor"? Is the conductor one of the engine crew (driver and fireman) or is he in charge of the train and passengers (guard)? Mjroots (talk) 08:39, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- That was a good link, confirms what I thought when I translated it as "guard". No need to change the text there, the link provides the context if needed.
- I managed to create the article using search terms in English as I didn't know what search terms to use in German. The history of the Class 99 locomotive involve could do with a bit of expansion. Further developments and the cause also need to be added to the article if available (German language sources?). Mjroots (talk) 08:54, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'd prefer reliable sources if they are available. Maybe someone will have visited the line and bought a guide with the details in. No rush, Misplaced Pages is never finished. I may have vaguely heard of DYK ;). Mjroots (talk) 14:10, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- No need to worry about the ce work. You should see the work I made when I created an article on the Dutch Misplaced Pages! Mjroots (talk) 12:36, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Permanent links
Hi, Skäpperöd. I happened to notice the dead links in your EE evidence. It's surprisingly easy to create permanent links — just start by clicking on "Permanent link" in the page's Toolbox, then do the usual. You could do that with the archived bits from ANI etc, if you know whereabouts in the archives they are, and if you care. See Misplaced Pages:Simple diff and link guide for a little more info. Datura stramonium
Thanks for fixing the references. I tried to fix it myself, but didn't see the other References section. The song MAY have some value -- see the article's talk page. Lou Sander (talk) 13:07, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
- Your edit is fine, and should stand. There's a hallucinogenic aspect to all the Datura species, and I'm thinking that IF these song references are correct, and IF they can be verified, and IF it can be verified that they refer to Datura, they would be an interesting little addition to the Toxicity material. (Drug-lovers frequently put "druggie" stuff into the Datura articles; a lot of it gets reverted, but some of it is occasionally useful. This stuff could be useful, too, IF all the "IFs" can be satisfied.) Lou Sander (talk) 13:49, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

That was priceless. And succinct. Do not forget that you cannot claim copyright on that one, however.
If you ever visit the western part of Belgium again, do send me an e-mail to check if we can meet in person. Maatjes, beer, advocaat and wodka waiting. Gorilka, by the way, to encourage you to change the horrible bottle on your user page. --Paul Pieniezny (talk) 10:18, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- I actually liked your first version better. You seemed to have seen through me: a Belgian nationalist. And even Walloons have a problem with Charleroi. Though the town 40-45 years ago was great. Then massive unemployment came and the money pumped in it by both Belgium and Europe has been mis-spent. All the best, --Paul Pieniezny (talk) 20:40, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
