- Terrible POV fork of US Presidents, nothing more than an attack add really--Petral 01:34, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
- Petral just shows that it is much easier to destroy something than create it. I came up with the idea for this article when reading about the parallels between the Vietnam and the Iraq war. Most Americans don't know anything about the Philippine-American War. In all three wars, American presidents have promised troop reductions as campaign promises, this is a historical fact, not POV. It may not fit Petral's pet POV, but it is still historical fact.
- I am still working on the new wikisite--it is clearly just a start, and I realize that it could be much better. If Petral would take the time to help building the article instead of tearing it down, I could spend more time making the article better, instead of wasting my time answering his attacks. I am open to real suggestions on the article, including a different name, putting the parallels in an existing article, etc. Again, Petral attack just shows that it is much easier to destroy something than create it. Petral please stop wasting my time and help build wikipedia.Travb 01:41, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
- comment I'm not tearing anything down, just giving other people the opportunity to decide for themselves whether they think it's a reasonable topic--Petral 01:44, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
- notice That I have not voted in this AfD, nor have I changed any of the content in your article--Petral 01:45, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
- This is like saying "I provided the gun and bullets but I didn't actually pull the trigger." What a weak justification for your peity actions. I WELCOME your edits to this new wikisubject. I have read a lot of historical articles, and this subject has the potential of being a really solid history paper for a history journal. This subject delves into issues of how American politicans win elections during war time, and the sometimes dubious promises they make to get elected. I am combing historical journals now for mention of Nixon's "secret plan". Please, I welcome your historical contributions to this wikiarticle--real criticism, not heavy handed attacks that waste my time.Travb 01:57, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
- Constant renaming of the article to try and 'shake' the link to the AfD isn't helping your cause very much--Petral 02:03, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
