Also known as "Jacob the Jeweler," Russian immigrant Jacob Arabo is a famed jeweler to hip hop artists and the National Basketball Association. Arabo has been referenced in numerous hip hop songs in 2004 and 2005, including those by Grammy winner and business associate Kanye West. In keeping with hip hop style, his works are notable for conspicuous use of gold and diamonds, among other precious materials.

Arabo's work is so well known that his name is synonymous with expensive jewelry. For example, in the song "We Don't Care," by Kanye West: "Everybody selling make up, Jacob's and bootleg tapes just to get they cake up." A store called "Jacob's Jewelry" also makes an appearance in the console video game, Def Jam: Fight For New York.
