IPods
Yes, this is an odd one in that it's a transclusion rather than a template as such. As such it satisfies WP:NFCC in spirit but not in letter. Of course, the best thing would be to get free images of the two phones! Black Kite 19:51, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Welcoming Users on Strategy Wiki
Hi, just wanted to drop a note to let you know that User:Mwpnl configured a welcome bot for us - there shouldn't be any need to welcome users manually any more. But watch for a malfunctioning bot, just in case, and block it if it's being bad. It's User:StrategyBot. - Philippe 18:58, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Talk:IPod#Correction
Thanks for doing the 'editsemiprotected' request.
In future, when you do those, could you please stick "tn|" in the template, ie {{tn|editsemiprotect}}, so it is no longer flagged as needing attention? You might want to use {{done}} too. See this edit. Keep up the good work; cheers! Chzz ► 03:24, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
AfD Compromise
Hey, having looked at the comments on the AfD, I've proposed a compromise...no idea if I can actually do it, but I followed WP:IAR and just went ahead and did it anyways. Would love to hear your feedback. Frmatt (talk) 21:33, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Ipod Touch 1st Generation.JPG
A tag has been placed on File:Ipod Touch 1st Generation.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Removal of PROD from Veg-O-Matic
Hello HereToHelp, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Veg-O-Matic has been removed. It was removed by Phil Bridger with the following edit summary 'Contest deletion - if you want this to be referenced or expanded then it wouldn't be hard for you to do so using some of the 555 Google Books hits for the article title.'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Phil Bridger before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Thank you, SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:49, 27 November 2009 (UTC) (Learn how to opt out of these messages) 19:49, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
iPod Classic
Hi HeretoHelp, I'm rather new at editing Misplaced Pages pages, but I have been so angry about the recent alleged incompatibility problems between iTunes 9 and iPod Classics that I researched and added a page to the iTunes article and the iPod Classic article. You politely removed my edit from the iTunes page, and I accept your explanation. However, a different user edited my contribution to the iPod Classic page, saying that my sources were unreliable under Misplaced Pages standards. I disupte that and wonder if you could take a look at it. I think that editor was being too stringent, but I don't have the Misplaced Pages expertise to back it up. I'm refering specifically to the last paragraph under http://en.wikipedia.org/Ipod_classic#Hardware_issues . Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.92.1.199 (talk) 22:23, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
HeretoHelp -- thanks for your reply to my talk page re: iPod Classic. One point: the problem really *is* widespread. I know this isn't a valid Misplaced Pages source, but for point of information, see this discussion board: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2151907&start=0&tstart=0 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.92.1.199 (talk) 23:48, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Policy Report
A summary of the community's comments on our WP:Edit warring policy will be featured in the Policy Report in next Monday's Signpost, and you're invited to participate. Monthly changes to this page are available at WP:Update/1/Conduct policy changes, July 2009 to December 2009, and it may help to look at previous policy surveys at WT:SOCK#Interview for Signpost, WT:CIVILITY#Policy Report for Signpost or WT:U#Signpost Policy Report. There's a little more information at WT:Edit warring#Signpost Policy Report. I'm not watchlisting here, so if you have questions, feel free to ask there or at my talk page. Thanks for your time. (P.S. Your edit to WT:3RR, which was merged into this page, was months ago, but we haven't had much participation in the survey so far this week.) - Dank (push to talk) 02:39, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
iPhone, Limitations Worthy of Highlighted Section
Limitations should be clearly stated; not dodgingly sprinkled. Some of this information is not already included and/or incomplete. It is necessary for the completion of complete and unbiased source. Happy trails! --NayadethFigueroa (talk) 03:36, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Help needed with Mac reviews
Could you take a look at Misplaced Pages:Articles_for_deletion/BeLight_Software and comment if the allegations of "bought reviews" in MacWorld etc. ring true or not? Thanks, Pcap ping 15:51, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
By the way, I looked at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Apple Inc. first, but their talk page is red... So, I'm not sure anyone is still watching it. Pcap ping 15:51, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sure. And I watch WP:MAC, but nothing ever happens with it. There are maybe half a dozen editors who actively contribute to Apple-related articles. HereToHelp 16:18, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your comments
I agree strongly with your views expressed in the BeLight Software debate. Just a word of caution, don't express your views too often or you might wind up wrapped in a recent ArbCom dispute. I wish I was kidding! Have a happy holidays, JBsupreme (talk) 20:08, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
