I noticed he wasn't on the list. Charles is known all over youtube, he deserves to be on the list. The dudes main video has nearly 11 million views in 5 months, that seriously deserves some kind of recognition on this page. I believe he should be added for his large following (a factor helped by his "perez hilton style" celebrity blog website (http://www.lovebscott.com/), his ability to gain interviews with celebrities (Nene Leakes, Kandi Buruss and Jordin Sparks as examples) and his activties in the NOH8, anti proposition 8 in California campaigners. Rick Astley?

I thought the basis for inclusion was those who become famous largely because of their YouTube videos. Rick Astley was already famous years before YouTube existed. For that matter, most videos of "Never Gonna Give You Up" as found on YouTube are examples of pirated copyright infringement.Docsavage20 (talk) 19:14, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Agreeing with the statement, Rick Astley did not create his fame through YouTube. As previously stated by Docsavage, his fame was through his music career. He then became a meme in the Internet and he did not make himself famous, but other users have. I think he should be on the list, because he's been making the Gradual Report for almost a year now, and he is very famous. Ray William Johnson and Dave Days. Why not?

How about Ray William Johnson? He's got one of the most viewed shows in YouTube. He uploads two new episodes each week and a great number of people watches them every day. I don't mean that he should be added to the list because of that, just because he is an actual good comedian and makes interesting videos and they are interactive with viewers.

I also think that Dave Days should be added to the list because he is a great musician in many different music styles as well as comedian, and he is one of the most subscribed musicians in YouTube.

Ronald Jenkees

Definitely deserves to be on that list... has at least 5 videos with 3+ million views, 1 5 million view... has since released 2 albums and produced a song for an ESPN sportscaster, all because of his videos. www.ronaldjenkees.com, just search Ronald Jenkees on youtube, pick any one of his songs, they're all amazing. Okay i tried submitting this message like 5 seconds ago and an error came up saying english wikipedia was having like server problems or something... anyway shortened the message this time hope it goes through just like to say my 2 cents worth of an opinion that Shane Dawson of youtube celebrity has now over 1 million subscribers and many video views. He has created different personas and characters. I honestly think he is notable enough for his own wikipedia page... but just saying thats what i believe at least... must be sources somewhere for Shane that could help... and he has also been going through medical surgery so thats big too... I know his page got deleted due to voting for deletion but if someone could please reply back to my message and he has a huge fan base btw also... Terroja Kincaid/The Amazing Atheist

I remember a discussion about this guy before. He meets all the criteria for being listed on this page. For some reason, he has been removed. The reasons why he should be included: - He meets the criteria of being sited in mainstream media, as he has been interviewed in wired magazine and the Times of London for a prediction he made about a Finnish school shooting, and is mentioned in the wikipedia article about this shooting (http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2007/11/youtuber-warned/, http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article2848488.ece , http://en.wikipedia.org/Jokela_school_shooting). - He has close to 100,000 subscribers on Youtube (#50 Most Subscribed "Director" of ALL TIME) - He has used his "internet celebrity" to sell books he has authored. - He has expanded his internet fame into other web sites, being interviewed on several blogs. - A google search of "The Amazing Atheist" (IN QUOTES!) returns over 5 MILLION pages. - He is listed as the #96 most popular internet celebrity at iStardom.com, the only site I know about that catalogs internet celebrities. (http://www.istardom.com/Theamazingatheist) - He has his own Encyclopedia Dramatica page (A site dedicated to internet memes, celebrities, and "famous" drama on the internet) - There is NO REASON why he shouldn't be included in the list. He is EXACTLY what we are talking about when we say 'YouTube Celebrity". He should be the POSTER BOY of this page. His IMAGE (as ugly as he is) should be at the top of this page. Can anyone give me a SINGLE REASON why his entry was removed? If not, I will add this entry again. Ridiculous that he does not have a wiki page - still more ludicrous that he is not even mentioned here. He is literally one of the most famous fighters ever thanks to his insane youtube ramblings in the last year

His first channel had 200,000 views, his second had 45,000 in its fairly short existence, his once deleted videos have tens of thousands of views each despite being re-uploads...... someone include him. Should the compass of the article be broader than "YouTube"? Possible "List of Internet video celebrities" in order to not promote one specific site -- even if the majority of the list is from that site? Collect (talk) 16:14, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

I suggested "List of internet video artists" at the AFD, although something like "List of notable contributors of internet videos" or "List of internet video contributors" might be a good idea as well. If we consider getting rid of the "YouTube" in the title, we should also remove the "celebrities" part. Maybe an RFC is in order? Regards SoWhy 10:03, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
