I agree that some bands are eclectic. But as far as just the writing style, it looks sloppy if it says a whole bunch of genres in the first sentence. A more detailed explanation of Sublime's style follows later in the article. Tim010987 (talk) 02:01, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Joseph L Kennedy.png
Thanks for uploading File:Joseph L Kennedy.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Angus McLellan (Talk) 19:27, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- I should add that, even if the image is used in an article, it will be deleted all the same. Our non-free content policy specifically disallows the use of non-free images to show what living people look like. Clearly anyone who cared to could take the subject's picture given that he is actively seeking election. Best regards, Angus McLellan (Talk) 19:29, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- I see, thank you. MakeBelieveMonster (talk) 19:30, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

- Thanks! It would be great if you could help expand that, I probably won't have much time to work on it. MakeBelieveMonster (talk) 18:57, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll look at it tonight.Malke2010 19:39, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
External links
Yo. Misplaced Pages isn't a free promotional platform, so an external link to the home page of a record company on a band isn't ok. MySpace links are generally WP:LINKSTOAVOID, unless there's some unusual reason. Such a reason would be that the one official site that IS allowed by Wiki is for some reason not working. In fact, that seems to be the case here. (http://www.asobrock.com) If you have insight into that, it would be better to get the non-MySpace link working, since bots routinely delete MySpace links on sight. Cheers, Piano non troppo (talk) 20:24, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I have tons of insight into that. (??) I see how it's promotional to link to a record label page, but supplemental links to an official MySpace page seem really really common. A quick look finds MySpace links on Taylor Swift, Audioslave, Nelly... doesn't seem to be a well-accepted policy. MakeBelieveMonster (talk) 04:20, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
