federal reserve

I just saw your message. I'm sorry, but that was not vandalism. If you would like citations for the information I placed on the site I would be more than happy to provide it. The Federal Reserve System is a hybrid of government and private interest. It is the front company for a partnership between private banks and the federal government. As a student and practitioner of finance, I can speak with authority on this issue. Please let me know what information you require so that you will be satisfied with the following statement:

The federal reserve is a private corporation that has entered into partnership with the federal government. It is made up of 100% shares that are privately owned by its broker dealer banks. These banks are in turn privately held corporations that have private shareholders, some of which exercise overwealming power in formulating monetary policy.

DYK? issue

Thank you...

The fact that you and I disagree on some things makes your support all that much more appreciated. Leads me to believe I'm on the right track.

Thank you for your support

Unfortunately, my RFA was closed recently with a final tally of 75½/38/10. Though it didn't succeed, I wanted to thank you for your support and I hope I can count on it in the future. Even though it didn't pass, it had a nearly 2 to 1 ratio of support and I am quite encouraged by those results. I intend to review the support, oppose, and neutral !votes and see what I can do to address those concerns that were brought up and resubmit in a few months. If you would like to assist in my betterment and/or co-nominate me in the future, please let me know on my talk page. Special thanks go to Schmidt, , TomStar81, and henrik for their co-nominations and support. — BQZip01 —

RE: Misplaced Pages:Village_pump_(technical)#Webslices_for_the_main_page

Thanks for soliciting my opinion.

  1. define what "webslices" is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Okip (talkcontribs) 05:16, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
  2. You need to sell this idea, why is it better than the old one?
  3. Why don't you put the original and the new idea side by side in your images? http://img686.imageshack.us/i/inthenewswebslice.png/

I have firefox 3.5.7, and this is what the page looked like to me: http://gyazo.com/3eb9338d33c76321b730298303d0a0c4.png no difference. Nothing new.

I would advertise this on main page talk.

Hope this helps. thanks again for everything. Let me know what happens. Okip (formerly Ikip) 05:15, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

I just checked the webchunks addon for firefox, and it seems to work with the old version of firefox=(. So for now, only IE8 can support web slices. There is a screenshot showing what it looks like in IE8. Thanks for responding=D.Smallman12q (talk) 14:47, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

DYK for Alabama Department of Homeland Security

Updated DYK query On February 8, 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Alabama Department of Homeland Security, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Internet Explorer 8 and Web Slice

Hi, you made a really good job on the web slices! Do you want to help me with something similar with the accelerators? I'm think about to integrate them into the smart tag (microsoft) article. or should we create a totally new? I also want to expand the smart tag and the ie6 article (searched in the archive.org and found the old ie6 beta page: http://web.archive.org/web/20010812031135/www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/preview/smarttags/default.asp ) mabdul 20:38, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Glad to see someone interested. For accelerators, I'd suggest doing a new article at Internet Explorer Accelerator...it really does deserve its own article rather than sharing it with smart tags. As for smart tags, I'd also recommend adding sources from:

...the smart tag article is rather bad...but it can certainly be improved.

On a side note, you may be interested in commenting at Misplaced Pages:Village_pump_(technical)#Webslices_for_the_main_page/Talk:Main_Page#Web_slices with regards to adding web slices to the main page.Smallman12q (talk) 21:28, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

started in a sandbox: here mabdul 00:40, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
It's a pretty good start, I'll help out when I get some free time (I'm going to be busy today/tmrw)...I'd also suggest you add in a section about the . I'll expand the article and add some coding examples when I get the time...great start though!Smallman12q (talk) 15:26, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks ;) mostly its copied out of the ie8 article. the rest is only design mark-up. if the code-snippets could be added would be a good help. I'm really bad at this ;) mabdul 17:25, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
I've read up a bit on accelerators and it seems they could be used outside of IE...so we could either rename the article to Accelerators (Microsoft) or OpenService Accelerators...or something you come up with, but I think Accelerators (Microsoft) would be the best for now...Smallman12q (talk) 18:51, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

It seems the Web Slice Whitepaper is gone despite being linked from the Internet Explorer 8 Web Slice Style Guide...same goes for the accelerator white paper from Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 Whitepapers for activities. You can send an email to msdn and ask that they put up which was a package of all the white papers relating to IE8 and they'll probably send you them. Other than that...I'm rather discouraged from expanding the article without the white paper... Another good site is: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/03/06/activities-and-webslices-in-internet-explorer-8.aspx Smallman12q (talk) 19:13, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

In a few days I will look at this and starting to improve the content of the article (accelerator). I'm going to work and make party over karneval. ;) mabdul 14:26, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
When you do get back, do consider emailing microsoft or making a thread at msdn requesting the web slice and accelerator (activities) white paper. They'll be very useful in making the article.Smallman12q (talk) 23:51, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
