Lead/lede
Apparently the word " Presumably this comes from the days of lead type and the journalist wanted to distinguish in print between lead (pronounced led) and lead (pronounced leed). Some Wikipedians have adopted the spelling. I've left your edit as it is because it doesn't really matter. --TS 15:35, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
