News Ltd Style Guide
Hi Sarahe, re: your comment here, I was just wondering if you actually have a copy of the New Ltd Style Guide? I couldn't find one online... it does seem like a useful thing to have around.
BTW, if you haven't checked out Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Melbourne (or Sydney, or Perth, or...) then I am sure you will find that an interesting resource, too. :)

Exicornt
Thanks for un-redirecting the page after I reopened the AfD. (Not to mention speaking up as a voice of reason in the AfD discussion.) Best, FreplySpang (talk) 22:59, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
- You did yourself proud by calling Eddie and company's bluff and emailing the author of their so-called claim. I'll bet they weren't expecting that! Congrats from hydnjo talk 00:25, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks guys! :) I was just happy that Pete replied so quickly. When I emailed him I wasn't even sure if he would reply. Sarah Ewart 00:37, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- We know. That was what was so adroit about it. You called their bluff when they were least suspecting. Good going! hydnjo talk 01:05, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

if you keep creating hoax articles about made-up words and trolling with sockpuppets, then you will continue bumping into us.
I'm not a troll that's here to spy on other users.
I'm not here to ruin and vandalise people's hard work. I don't want to talk about "sockpuppets" anymore, I'm sick and tired of hearing about it. If You have someone better to say, fine. How about putting this all behind us and moving on with our wiki lives, okay? -- EddieSegoura 12:54, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- I don't think you do want to ruin other people's hard work. And you don't have to talk about sockpuppets. You said you don't want to talk to me anymore, and I'm just telling you that if you continue to create hoax articles (ie exicornt) and using sockpuppets (Lets Go Yankees, BestBuy25, etc) then you will no doubt continue bumping into us. I am willing to put all this behind us if you cease using sockpuppets to rig voting and cease creating hoax articles. If you agree to that, then I will agree to starting over with a clean slate. Sarah Ewart 13:03, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- If You're willing to put "AfD" behind us, then yes. We can talk. I do have a question. Is it true You're only allowed one account on Misplaced Pages? From what You're telling Me, extra accounts aren't allowed. Is that true? -- EddieSegoura 8:33 AM, November 28, 2005 (EST)
- If you have a look at this page: WP:SOCK, you'll see that it is against the rules to use multiple accounts for the purpose of voting, deception or circumventing policy. The accounts can be permanently blocked if you use them to cast double votes. If you look further down that page, you'll see some instances where multiple accounts may, in very rare cases, have a legitimate use. However, it is extremely limited and is generally frowned on by the community. It's the sort of thing people will use against you if you decided you want to try at RfA again. As far as voting goes, it is certainly against policy to use multiple accounts to vote. Sarah Ewart 13:41, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

Exicornt
The Exicornt page has been deleted, as far as I know. Haven't we agreed to keep Crossover (rail)? -- Eddie 13:01, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- Hi, I've archived My old "Exicornt" page, if that's okay with You. -- Eddie 22:07, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- I have no problem with you archiving the page in your userspace. But if you are planning to repost, you'll have to find genuine sources to support it. Sarah Ewart 23:00, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
My Request for Bureaucratship
Hi Sarah, I know you opposed my request for bureaucratship mainly because you agreed with Rdsmith4 that becoming a bureaucrat might detrimentally affect my contributions to articles. I just thought I'll explain why most of my recent contributions happen to be in the article namespace and why this isn't typically representative of what I do on the Wiki; almost half of my edits have been to the project or project talk namespace. (Much of the following paragraph is similar to what I explained to Rdsmith4 on his talk.)
Mainly, I've avoided janitorial duties in the past months because of my limited internet access (as I explained on the RfB), and I of course place a higher priority on improving and writing articles than janitorial duties. However, because I now have internet access at home, I have a lot more spare time to help out on Misplaced Pages, as evinced by my closing of AfD debates over the past few days. (Most of them were controversial because I focused on the backlog; all the easy ones had been taken by other admins already.) I already helped clear out some the "easy" debates Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Log/2005 November 25, and now I'm itching to find some other thing to do because I have *a lot* of free time on my hands. Going through the RFA talk archives, I noticed that Uninvited Company (another bureaucrat) said it takes about half an hour to close one RFA debate. Usually I spend two or three hours a day closing AFD debates (and I stop only because you can enjoy closing only so many debates in one day), which works out to four to six RFAs a day (whereas typically only one or two RFAs pass per day), without impacting my contributions to the article space at all. Maybe the need for new 'crats isn't that bad, but I'm sure Rdsmith4 and the other 'crats would appreciate the extra half an hour or two with a few extra ones helping out. Just some thoughts, and best regards. Johnleemk | Talk 05:57, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
Big Cleanup a success
Hey, Sarahe. I'm happy to say User Karmafist (talk) has helped Me in a big way. She helped clean up most of the "dirty sock" notes pointing to Me (including a deletion of this page). While only a few linger, I think we've made huge progress and should have them all deleted by the end of the week. After that, I'll be able to start My Misplaced Pages career all over again and put all of My misadventures behind Me. It's going to feel great. -- Eddie 5:11 AM, December 1, 2005 (EST)
Thanks
Hi Sarah,Thanks for voting to support my RfA. I wasn't expecting an unopposed promotion (I thought I'd hit some die-hard edit-counters at least) and I'm touched by the trust shown in me. I'll try my best to continue to earn that trust. But first, I'll have to work on not sounding like a politician; that last sentence was awful. Oh well. Let me know when I screw something up with the shiny new buttons. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 05:53, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
RfA thanks
I would like to thank you for your support of my recent successful RfA. If you have any further comments or feedback for me, my door's open - don't hesistate to drop a note on my talk page. Happy editing! Enochlau 11:22, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
Cnwb's RfA
Sarahe,
Thanks so very much for supporting my Request for Admin. The final result was 38/0/0. I'm looking forward to spending my summer holidays shut away in a darkened room, drinking G&Ts and playing with my new tools ;-) Please accept this Tim Tam as a token of my gratitude. Cnwb 22:40, 4 December 2005 (UTC)Hope You don't mind the Subway Car photos.
I added photos (which I took) to a few subway car articles.
Check it out: R143, R68, and R40. If their are any objections, please let Me know now. I hope it was a worthwhile edit. Eddie 03:57, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for your message, Eddie. Your pictures look good. Also, I just want to add something about my delete vote. I don't really have a problem with you archiving that page in your userspace. It just seems to me that it's like it's going to be a big clunking albatross around your neck. Specially if you still intend to resurrect your RfA in the future. Sarah Ewart 05:01, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
- I respect Your opinion, Sarah. However, I'm not forcing anyone to read the archived page. I think the edits I intend to do will overshadow this "Exicornt" page. As a matter of fact, no one voted on that page today. I'm happy You at least feel good about My photos. I'm going to try to get photos of My own for the other car types as well. -- Eddie 23:26, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

My RfA
Sarah, thanks for your support on my RfA. The final count was 46/0/0. I hope I'll live up to your faith in me in my use of the mop and bucket. Please accept this wikithanks as a token of my gratitude ;) --bainer (talk) 01:00, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Pettingil family
Hello Sarah. You are indeed correct. My research on the Pettingill's is quite dated going back to the mid 90's. I've since corrected the surname in most articles I could find. Let me know if you come across any fixes required that I've missed. Oh, and thanks for the correction advice. -- Longhair 01:08, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Sarahe: Well, they might not be "positive" in the sense of me simply saying 'you're wonderful--Go for it!' But (hopefully) they'll be constructive for you.
Of course I'm not expecting full endorsement from You right now, but if it's about making progress and earning Your support, I'm willing to listen.
Sarahe: remove duplication of my comment. Why do you keep doing that?
Probably happens when someone saves an edit when I'm in the middle of an edit on the same page. I'm alerted when I hit save, so I hit back on My browser, retrive My new edit, and paste it. For some reason it creates a duplicate comment. -- Eddie 04:57, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for your RFA support
Hi Sarah! I have been on a refreshing wikibreak for the last week, so this is a belated thank-you for supporting my adminship nomination. I'm sure you've seen plenty of these, though, so simply: Happy New Year (if that's your kind of thing)! jnothman 18:26, 31 December 2005 (UTC) |

ArbCom Vote
Hi Sarahe,
As per your opposition vote to my ArbCom candidacy due to the lack of questions, I've elaborated on my statement and explanation at the questions page. I welcome any further questions to be asked to clarify any of your doubts, and let me know on my talkpage if it's urgent. Thank you for your interest! :)

My behaviour
Hi Sarah,
What about my behaviour do you believe is questionable?
Regards, Ben Aveling 03:15, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Hi Sarah,
I don't believe that putting up a quote like that is appropriate. I was insulted, and I'm sure that other people were too. I won't put you on the spot by asking you for your opinion of the quote, but I think I have the right to ask her for an apology?
Regards, Ben Aveling 04:46, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
I would like to express my thanks to all the good people who spent their valuable time time and effort working on my (failed) RfA voting. Especially for those who actually voted to support me :). Delta Goodrem: Remixed
Hi, I noticed that about 6 or 7 days ago you asked the author of this article to provide sources to verify it. Unfortunately, the author has not been forthcoming or even responded to any of the concerns about the article. I think it's time it was nominated for deletion as unverifiable. What do you think. Contact me on my user talk page. Thanks, Werdna648/C\ 01:04, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Please cease reverting my talk page. I consider it vandalism. I have no quarrel with you. You can edit my words here to say something silly if you like, but this is how things snowball. You don't have to mind your own business, but kindly quit minding mine. Bethefawn 01:13, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
