The Station Warrant Officer (SWO, often pronounced as a word) is the senior warrant officer (and thus the senior non-commissioned officer) on a British Royal Air Force station (base). The SWO is responsible for discipline and is therefore comparable to the Regimental Sergeant Major in a British Army unit.

Once a tradesman of the Royal Air Force has reached the rank of Warrant Officer or Master Aircrew they are eligble to apply to be the SWO. The SWO needs to know the Air Force Drill and dicsipline manual (AP1919) inside out. Many SWO's are current RAF Regiment Warrant Officers
