The Battle of Mount Lycaeum was a battle of 227 BC in which Sparta (led by Cleomenes III) defeated the army of the Achaeans in the Cleomenean War. The Achaean army was led by Aratus of Sicyon, strategos of the Achaean League, having been sent to attack Elis, Sparta's ally.
