Can't Be Tamed is the third studio album from American pop recording artist Miley Cyrus, currently set for release on June 22, 2010.

Background

Cyrus first announced that she was working on a new album in December 2009, the same time she announced her intentions to take a break from the music industry, which she will be doing after the release of Can't Be Tamed in order to focus on her film career. The new album is also described by Cyrus as being "a little different. It's kind of poppier, but then it still has an edge, which all of my music kind of has to it. I think it's really fun. I think people will really like it. It's definitely a good summer CD. It's good to blast in your car." The record had also been described as having "kind of a techno vibe on some stuff" with Cyrus saying "I just want to kind of do all different kinds of music, same way I want to be with movies. I never want to get stuck in a rut and just do one thing.”

Tracks

The first single is the title track "Can't Be Tamed", with the filming of the song's music video having taken place on April 10-11, 2010 in Sony Studios on a closed set. MySpace Music is set to host the global premier of the the "Can't Be Tamed" single on Friday, April 30 at 12pm EST.. The single will then be released to radio on May 3, and released on iTunes as a digital download on May 18.

It is also known that Cyrus has recorded a cover of the Poison song Every Rose Has Its Thorn in collaboration with Bret Michaels, and was produced by John Shanks. This track is also likely to appear on the album.

A duet with Sheryl Crow is rumored to appear on the album.
