Omar S. Amanat is a Muslim-American businessman who founded a day-trading technology company called Tradescape.

He subsequently founded several film companies and became an Executive Producer of films including the Academy Award nominated The Visitor, George Clooney's documentary about the Darfur genocide entitled Darfur Now, Smart People starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Dennis Quaid, and The Mysteries of Pittsburgh starring Sienna Miller and Nick Nolte among other movies.
