Horasis is an independent Think tank based in Geneva, Switzerland, which was established in 2005 by Frank-Juergen Richter, a former Director at the World Economic Forum. Its stated mission is to "enact visions for a sustainable future" through new platforms for cooperation and knowledge-sharing, particulary between developing countries and emerging markets.

Horasis fosters this cooperation through business meetings with a regional focus (i.e. China and India, etc.), where meeting participants are CEOs of multinational corporations, politicians and cultural leaders as well as representatives from civil society. So Horasis has already been titled as a "world economic forum for emerging markets."
