Paroxetine is the formal name for Paxil (in the states) or Seroxat (in the UK). It is the second most prescribed anti-depressent in the UK. Although it is helpful in treating many cases of depression their is a growing body of anecdotal evidence that have raised concerens about:

  • Wild mood swings/Suicidal impuleses when first starting on the drug
  • Withdrawl side effects making it hard to stop taking the drug.

The manufacturers claim it is impossible to get addicted. Other campaigners disagree.
