My name is Malgosia Askanas. I am a mathematician, computer scientist, software engineer, artist and writer. My doctorate is in Mathematical Logic and Recursive Function Theory. I have studied Model Theory under Prof. Andrzej Mostowski, Real Analysis and Functional Analysis under Prof. Roman Sikorski, Differential Equations under Prof. Czeslaw Bessaga, Philosophy of Science under Prof. Ernest Nagel, Recursive Function Theory and Set Theory under Prof. Raymond Smullyan (who was also my thesis advisor), and Aetherometry under Dr. Paulo Correa and Alexandra Correa. My expertise in computer science and software engineering includes middle-end and back-end compiler technology, real-time and multi-user operating systems, real-time industrial applications, hardware emulation, system software. My artistic activities have focused primarily on theater, video, and performance art. I was also a founding member of the Spoon Collective, the now defunct group that, for 10 years, operated a set of influential email lists in areas of philosophy and cultural theory hosted by the Institute for Advanced Technologies in the Humanities at the University of Virginia. At present, I also have the great privilege of occupying the honorary position of Editor-in-Chief of Akronos Publishing, a publisher of research works in Aetherometry, the biophysics of massfree energy.
