JanDeFietser's native language is Dutch and he possesses a passport of the Kingdom of The Netherlands, the country where he lives. Here in the English Misplaced Pages, he is a "refugee" from the Dutch Misplaced Pages, where he has been banned in November 2009 for a so called "legal threat" that there wasn't, after defending himself to false accusations of a crime that he didn't commit: he asked questions. The courage to do that is mere a philosophical and at least a careful stance.

Newspapers that he reads are a.o. Trouw and NRC Handelsblad (Dutch) as well as The New York Times and the Washington Post (American).

Favorite plug-ins in his browser Firefox: Googlepedia (linking a search result in Google with a Misplaced Pages page) and Google Search 4 Misplaced Pages (linking a Misplaced Pages page with Google)
