The original photograph showed an African-American man wading through floodwaters, pushing a bucketfull of Heineken beer bottles that were presumably looted from a nearby flooded store. The picture has circulated around the internet and the Looter Guy, as he has come to be called, has been added to different well-known scenes humorously, such as movie DVD covers, posters, and famous photographs.
While called offensive by certain groups, the intent of the photos has been strictly humor-based.
